  • Patent number: 6685248
Abstract: An object engaging tool and method for using same for manipulating bottle shaped objects with a mechanical arm are described. A first and second contact surface of the object engaging tool engage the body of an object when positioned over the object while the object is resting upright. The position of the object engaging tool is changed generally downwardly so the weight of the object is transferred to the object engaging tool and is supported in cantilevered relation thereupon. The object is moved into position and placed on a resting surface whereupon the object engaging tool is disengaged when the weight of the object is transferred to the resting surface. The object engaging tool may further be positioned over the object when resting in a horizontal position and the object engaged and weight transferred to the object engaging tool by changing the position of the object engaging tool upwardly.

  • Patent number: 4805912
Abstract: A golf putting teaching aid for helping a golfer learn proper accelerated putting includes a rectangular putting surface having a putter path line located lengthwise down the center of the putting surface to indicate the proper path of a putter during the putting stroke. A plurality of squaring lines are disposed perpendicular to the putter path at different distances from the cup. These squaring lines serve as a visual aid for the golfer to indicate the proper orientation of the putter head when it strikes the ball, i.e., perpendicular to the path of the golf ball. A stroke length ruler is locatable along an edge of the putting surface and has indicia for aligning the stroke length ruler with the position of the golf ball and for indicating the proper backswing and follow-through in relation to the distance of each putt.

  • Patent number: 4302927
Abstract: This improved support assembly for rotating spinning rings of a spinning frame includes a spinning ring holder (20) and a mounting bracket (30) which are each molded of a thermoplastic material having shock-absorbing and vibration-dampening properties. A ball bearing (50) rotatably supports the ring holder (20) on the mounting bracket (30) and the resilient property of the thermoplastic material prevents interference fit of the ball bearing (50). The ring holder (20) extends over and around the upper portion of the ball bearing (50) and felt seals (60, 61) are provided above and below the ball bearing (50) to prevent the entry of lint and the like into the ball bearing (50).
