Abstract: A bundle typing device is provided with a pair of jaws which are mounted so that the jaw ends move toward and away from each other and are adapted to receive tie stock thereacross. The jaw ends with the tie stock are drawn over a bundle, the tie stock embracing the bundle. The jaws are then rotated to twist the tie stock about the bundle.
Abstract: A machine for wrapping tape about an article in which a suppy of tape with adhesive on one side thereof is fed across a pair of spaced stationary jaws along a feeding platform and cut to a size for the bundle to be wrapped. The bundle to be wrapped is placed in the jaws, and against the tape, while holding bars, that reciprocate in the jaws, engage the ends of the tape, and move the tape upwardly about the bundle. Pincher jaws are provided and are located across the upstanding ends of the tape. The jaws squeeze the two ends together to secure the bundle and ejecting means move the bundle out of the jaws.
Abstract: A tying machine for tying articles of varying size utilizing tying material is disclosed that has a pair of normally spaced rotatable gripping devices, tying material being fed to the rotatable gripping devices in a pre-adjusted controlled length, said gripping devices moving together maintaining a grip on the ends of the tying material and then rotating to twist the material together about the article.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for compressing and holding a hanked package of flexible material during fastening is disclosed in which a package which has been transferred from a previous winding station, is resiliently compressed by arms that are urged toward a support for the hanked package to compress the package, separate means fastening the hanked package while compressed, and after fastening the arms release the package.
