Abstract: A seating assembly for a passenger aircraft. The seating assembly includes a plurality of passenger seats including a first passenger seat and a second passenger seat. Each of the passenger seats includes an articulated seat pan to provide for moving the passenger seat between a first upright position and a second reclined position. In addition, the second passenger seat may be positioned in a staggered configuration with respect to the first passenger seat. A fixed outer privacy shell partially surrounds each seat and includes at least one rear wall and a base attached to the floor of the passenger aircraft for receiving each of the passenger seats. In addition, a center console also may be within each of the fixed outer privacy shell and located adjacent to each of the passenger seats.

Abstract: A seat system for a passenger aircraft. The seat system includes at least one passenger seat and a stowable clamshell holder for a personal electronic device installed into the back of the passenger seat. The personal electronic device (PED) holder includes a door adapted to be movable between an open position and a closed position and a pair of opposed retainers adapted to hold a personal electronic device. The pair of retainers includes a lower back retainer and an upper front retainer whereby the lower back retainer extends above the upper front retainer. The seat system may further include a seat back tray table attached to the back of the passenger seat.

Abstract: A seat system for a passenger aircraft includes at least one passenger seat and an adjustable headrest attached to the passenger seat. The adjustable headrest includes a plurality of panels including a center panel and at least two pairs of side panels; a plurality of vertically articulated joints each separating each of the pairs one from another; a sliding mechanism such as a rail to facilitate vertical displacement of the plurality of panels, the sliding mechanism connected to the center panel; and a quick release mechanism to facilitate removal of the plurality of panels from the passenger seat, the quick release mechanism engaged with the sliding mechanism. A seat back tray table may further be attached to the back of the passenger seat. The headrest is vertically adjustable, and configured to curve around a passenger's head to provide comfort and stability.

Abstract: A seat system for a passenger aircraft. The seat system includes a passenger seat frame having at least one pair of generally parallel spar tubes laterally positioned across the passenger seat frame and an articulating seat pan assembly. In one embodiment, the articulation seat pan assembly includes at least two pairs of opposed crescent-shaped seat pan roller assemblies attached to the spar tubes and a seat pan adapted to be mounted onto the pairs of opposed seat pan roller assemblies whereby the seat pan articulates along the seat pan rollers from back to front of the passenger seat frame. The seat system may further include a seat back tray table attached to the back of the passenger seat.
