Abstract: A method for allocating a cloud-based media resource, comprising: receiving a cloud-based media task request with at least one parameter from a task requester; calculating a second integrated utility value by utilizing the at least one parameter; comparing the second integrated utility value with a first integrated utility value; determining whether to allocate the cloud-based media resource to the task requester according to a result of comparison. An apparatus for allocating a cloud-based media resource according to the present technology is also provided. In some illustrative embodiments, from the view of the utility improvement of cloud-based media services, an objective function is no longer a minimized response time but a maximum utility, and thus the satisfaction of cloud users can be significantly increased.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a multimedia content self-adaptive method and a multimedia playing system, wherein the multimedia content self-adaptive method includes: obtaining context information; solving the media content adaptation problem according to the obtained context information. Applying the multimedia content self-adaptive method and multimedia playing system provided by the present technology, the content adaptation for the AV playing environment can be realized under the UPnP AV standard, thereby providing intelligent multimedia services.

Before the switching, the TV displays the TV programs, received from the broadcast system and a server, in a main window and a sub-display window respectively, and the switching method includes the following steps that: the TV and the server determine the channel identifiers of the TV programs displayed by each other; the TV displays the TV programs, received from the broadcast system and the server, with the channel identifiers of each other using the first display window and the second display window respectively.
