Patents Assigned to Hakko Metal Industries Limited
  • Patent number: 4945210
Abstract: A card controlled temperature control device for soldering iron in which only a specific person can set and control the tip temperature of the soldering iron. The device comprises a card having a specific identification code, a card identifier for identifying the idententification code, an input section for entering a set value, a set value judging component for judging if the entered set value is in the allowable range or not, and temperature control circuitry controlling the heater of soldering iron on the basis of the set value within the allowable range, whereby the iron tip temperature is allowed to be set and operated by a specific person having a specific card and its misoperation is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4891497
Abstract: A soldering iron temperature regulator capable of calibrating the measuring error of the temperature sensor for detecting the tip temperature of a soldering iron at ordinary temperature. It comprises a temperature control part for adjusting the heating temperature of the heater on the basis of the set value of a temperature setting part and the measured temperature by a temperature sensor, a variable resistor connected to the temperature sensor, and a calibration circuit for matching the tip measured temperature by the temperature sensor with the ambient temperature of the tip at room temperature, in which after matching the measured temperature by the temperature sensor with the ordinary ambient measured temperature by the output adjustment of the calibration circuit, the heating temperature of the tip is set to a specified temperature by the temperature setting parts, and this value is entered into the temperature control part.

  • Patent number: 4873608
Abstract: An electric soldering iron having a structure capable of electrostatic disturbances of electronic components such as semiconductor elements and electric appliances due to static electricity charged on the user of the soldering iron or static electricity charged on the soldering iron itself. A conductor part is disposed at least on the surface portion of the grip of a soldering iron main body, and this conductor part can be grounded by means of an earth wire, and at the same time the surface of the power cord of the soldering iron is coated with a conductive coating material over the entire length and this conductive coating material can be also grounded, so that the static electricity charged on the user is discharged through the conductor part and earth wire, and also that the static electricity generated on the surface of the power cord during soldering work may be securely discharged.

  • Patent number: 4861169
Abstract: A temperature sensor using a thermocouple, optimum for measurement of temperature of an object heated to a high temperature such as the tip of a soldering iron. Comprising a thermocouple formed by mutually bonding dissimilar metal materials, the junction of the dissimilar metal materials of thermocouple is covered with a good conductive metallic sleeve, and the measuring part is formed. Therefore, if an object high temperature contacts with the measuring part, the metal materials composing the thermocouple are not directly heated, and heat conduction to the metal materials is also excellent. Therefore, oxide coating due to heating rarely occurs in the measuring part, and the measuring performance of high precision may be maintained for a long period.

  • Patent number: 4861967
Abstract: A card controlled temperature control device for a soldering iron in which only a specific person can set and control the tip temperature of the soldering iron. The device comprises a control card having a temperature setting part, a card identification part for identifying that the control card is capable of setting the temperature, a set value judging part for judging if the input numerical value of the temperature setting part is in the allowable range or not, and a temperature control part for controlling the heater of the soldering iron on the basis of the set value within the allowable range. These enable the iron tip temperature to be set and operated by a specific person having specific control card and unauthorized improper operation is prevented.

  • Patent number: 4528746
Abstract: A device for dismounting an integrated circuit package soldered on a printed electric circuit board by melting the solder, including an electric heater which heats a heating shank disposed so as to contact upper portions of soldered portions of a plurality of leads soldered to circuit ends on an electric circuit board wherein the leads extending from side walls of an IC package mounted on the board. A suction cup member is disposed in a center portion of the heating shank so as to face an upper surface of the IC package and dismount the IC package sucked thereby from the board after melting the solder.
