The neck is flattened relative to the handle and forms a plane. Extending substantially perpendicular from the neck's top surface is a channel knife for cutting the rind off of the fruit. The channel knife extends vertically from one arm of the neck and is sharpened to enable easy cutting of the fruit's outer skin. The channel knife can cut around the circumference of the fruit to create a circumferential channel that provides the entry point to the fruit sac.
