Abstract: A safety device for a food processor, enables operation of the motor only when a pusher occupies the chute through which food products are introduced, thus preventing injury to the hands. The pusher has a rib, the lower end of which bears against a slider that can have a parallelogram cross section with inclined opposite end faces. When the pusher is advanced so the rib passes the slider, the rib displaces the slider laterally. The displaced slider in turn displaces a lid rod. The lid rod bears against a bowl rod. The lower end of the bowl rod operates a switch.
Abstract: This toaster consists of a casing (1) that is essentially parallelepiped in shape and thermally insulated, and at least one electrical resistor (6) which constitutes a radiant heating element and is enclosed in the casing. The side walls (3, 4) of the casing (1) are transparent.
Abstract: Gas lighter having a safety mechanism. The lighter includes a lighter body housing a tank of liquefied gas under pressure. A valve allows passage of gas. A burner is connected to the valve. A push-button is disposed on the body and is adapted to be pressed by a user's finger. A lever is used for acting on the valve. The lever is adapted to cooperate with the push-button. A wheel is used for engaging a flint. The wheel includes at least one driver. A spring is arranged below the flint for biasing the flint against the wheel. An axle is used upon which the wheel is rotatably mounted. A mechanism is used for preventing the rotation of the wheel. The mechanism is adapted to engage at least one tooth on the at least one driver so as to prevent the rotation of the wheel.
Abstract: The invention is related a lighter, particularly a lighter having a child safety feature. In a specific embodiment, the invention includes a wheel assembly that includes a central striking wheel surrounded by two wheel drivers. Arrangements are provided for diminishing the adherence of a finger on the drivers, particularly the finger of a young child, to render the ignition of the lighter difficult for children.
Abstract: A safety device comprising a locking mechanism for a gas lighter. A latch is fixed beneath the pushbutton and it comprises an upside-down U-shaped resilient portion occupying a vertical plane. The bottom end of the U-Shape is closed by an arm carrying retractable stops. In the locked position, the stops prevent the pushbutton from moving downwards and consequently prevent gas escaping from the lighter. The invention applies to increasing safety, particularly when children are concerned.
