Abstract: A bicycle seat support comprises an outer tubular member and an inner tubular member telescopically slidable therein, the inner tubular member protruding from the open upper end of the outer tubular member and having the bicycle seat clamped thereto. A compression spring is located within the outer tubular member to urge the inner tubular member upwards and resiliently resist downward movement of the inner tubular member and bicycle seat, to act as a cushion for the bicycle seat. A lock is provided, at the top end of the outer tubular member, whereby the inner and outer tubular members can be locked together to render the spring inoperative, the lock being manually operable and within easy reach of the user riding the bicycle.
