The pair of opposing pads comprise a tacky material with the exterior contact surface being a tacky surface.

Abstract: A vent clip mount secures a mobile device with respect to louvres of a vehicle air vent and has a twist key with a head having a long dimension oriented transverse to the louvres. An intermediate plate and a pad are carried by the shaft and selectively displaceable along the shaft towards the head of the twist key. The pad is compressible and capable of having an induced indentation therein via the louvres in the tight position.

A card or wallet is affixed to the cellular phone. The card or wallet has a loop portion of the hook-an-loop type fastener. Thus, the card or wallet can be removably affixed to the mount plate, and thus the dashboard via the hook-and-loop type fastener. In addition, the wallet forms a pocket with the cellular phone to receive the one or more credit cards, driver's license, etc.

The cover comprises a panel sized and shaped to cover the releasable attachment pad in a protection location when located on the attachment side of the housing, and to expose the releasable attachment pad in a storage location when located on the face side of the housing.

The grip pad has a tacky bottom surface to releasably cling to the dashboard, and a tacky top surface to releasably cling to the cell phone. In addition, the grip pad can conform to a contour of the dashboard. The grip pad can have a bottom layer that is flexible to bend to an arcuate shape to match the dashboard.
