    Abstract: A method and a device for holing an oblong member, particularly a guard rail, substantially directly in front of a hole in a second member, particularly a pole, by utilizing a punching device comprising a punch and first and second pressure means with different ratios, of which the first means causes the punch to abut the oblong member, and the second means effects further movement of the punch to carry out holing in said member.
