Patents Assigned to Hansa Metallwerke AG
  • Patent number: 4768749
Abstract: In a control disc valve, which is intended particularly for sanitary use, a first control disc containing water inlet openings is arranged in a stationary manner. A second control disc, which contains a recess, for example a guide channel through which water flows, is able to move with respect to the first control disc. A movement brake is provided, which retards the closing movement of the second control disc at least in the region immediately before the complete closure of the valve. For this purpose a cylinder bore is located in the movable control disc, which bore communicates with the recess in the second control disc through which water flows. A damping piston moves in the cylinder bore. The piston is actuated by way of a plunger, which at the time of the movement of the control disc abuts against another part of the valve, in particular against the wall of the cartridge housing.

  • Patent number: 4715406
Abstract: In a control disc valve with at least two control discs, the linear movement of one of the control discs, which is involved with a variation in quantity of the medium to be regulated, is prevented by a special brake. For this purpose the movable control disc itself is inserted in a closed chamber so that it divides the latter into two partial chambers. The latter are connected to each other by way of a displacement path. The closed chamber is filled with a fluid medium of suitable viscosity. If the control disc moves in a linear manner for varying the quantity of the medium passing through, it operates within the closed chamber in the manner of a piston and displaces the fluid medium by way of the displacement path from one partial chamber to the other. Active lubrication of the sliding surfaces of the control discs can be associated with this at the same time. (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 4703893
Abstract: Hand showers of different functions all have the same casing, which comprises solely channels of non-specific function and non-specific connection means for carrying water. A first inner insert comprises complementary, non-specific connection means, by which a connection to the casing for the water is provided as well as channels of exclusively large area carrying water and which now have a specific function. Finally, all the channels carrying water, which possibly tend to become blocked on account of their small cross section, and all other parts possibly requiring maintenance are combined in an outer insert of specific function, into which the water flows from the inner insert.

  • Patent number: 4651774
Abstract: On a single-lever mixer, the operating lever (26), which is rigidly connected to a cartridge adjusting shank (16), has a lever section (30) which is concentric with the adjusting shank swivel axis (18), is circular-arc-shaped and has been passed through an opening (32) in the circumferential wall (34) of the cover (36) shutting the cartridge reception opening (12) of the housing (10). The cover (36) is connected, so as to be secured against rotation, to an adjusting shank bearing part (20) which is rotatable about the cartridge axis.

  • Patent number: 4650120
Abstract: In a shower head (12) provided with hard-jet ports (84) and soft-jet ports (88), a partition wall between the distributor chambers (32, 82) communicating with these sets of ports is designed as an insert part (26) which can be inserted from the open end of the housing (14). The partition wall insert part has an integrally formed valve supporting section (38) with connection channels (42, 72, 74) to the feed port (44) and the two distributor chambers (32, 34) respectively and carries a linear slide change-over valve, whose valve seat (50) and valve slide (52) are made of a ceramic material.

  • Patent number: 4629124
Abstract: A hand shower, for optional hard-jet and soft-jet operation in which the water paths provided for the hard-jet and soft-jet operations extend behind a change-over device completely separately from each other. In the water path associated with the soft-jet operation there is arranged a central device for enriching the through-flowing water with air, the area of which device is small compared to the entire outlet area of the water on the perforated plate of the shower. Both the water enriched with air and the water intended for the hard-jet operation are guided via a water distribution chamber; the two water distribution chambers communicate with two separate sets of outlet ports in the perforated plate of the shower (FIG. 4).
