The gear mechanism drivingly engages with the slider rail, while being adapted to cooperate with the means for connecting and/or a means for driving the gear mechanism to move extend or retract the slide-out compartment.

The system comprising an anchoring assembly, a positioning assembly, and tie-down means for interconnecting the camper with said anchoring assembly. The anchoring assembly is attached to the bed of the truck and includes a mounting bracket, guide plate, stabilizing bar, and support bracket. The mounting bracket is configured to be mountable to the bed of the truck. The guide plate is connected to the mounting bracket and is configured to receive the stabilizing bar therein. The stabilizing bar is configured to connect two or more guide plates. A support bracket is attached to a load bearing member of the truck below the bed of the truck. A positioning assembly is also mounted in the bed of the truck. The positioning assembly is configured to guide the camper within the bed of the truck, while preventing lateral movement of the camper during movement of the truck. A tie-down assembly interconnects the camper with the anchor assembly.

Abstract: A sliding mechanism for extending and retracting a slide-out compartment comprising a guide member having two securing flanges separated by a gap that communicates with an interior channel. A slider rail is disposed within the interior channel and has a middle portion adapted with a plurality of holes formed therein. Extending from the middle portion are two securing members that cooperate with the securing flanges of the guide member to maintain slider rail within the interior channel as middle portion extends into the gap. Disposed within the interior channel at one end of the guide element is a gear mechanism. The gear mechanism includes a gear shaft and a gear attached to the gear shaft. The gear mechanism drivingly engages a plurality of teeth on the gear within the plurality of holes in the middle portion of the slider rail to extend or retract the slide-out compartment. A timing assembly is attached to the gear shaft to allow two or more gear shafts to be timed relative to one another.

Abstract: A recumbent cycling apparatus is provided that includes a frame structure, wheels rotatably attached to supporting the frame structure, and a central frame element configured to absorb and reduce the forces transmitted through the frame structure to a user. The frame structure has a front frame section and a back frame section that are substantially parallel to the ground. The central frame element is a curved elongated member composed of chromoly steel that is attached to the front frame section and the back frame section and extends therebetween. The central frame element is configured to allow the front frame section and the back frame section to move substantially independently in response forces exerted on the wheels. The central frame element is disposed in a substantially vertical plane above the back frame section and the front frame section and is substantially perpendicular thereto. A pair of recumbent seats are mounted on the back frame section in a side-by-side relationship.
