Abstract: A machine tool includes a table slidably supported on a carrier and movable relative to the carrier by a driving device, a telescopic covering device having two or more cover members telescopically slide relative to each other in response to a sliding movement between the table and the carrier. A connecting device includes a tubular member attached to the inner cover member, and a rod attached to the carrier and movable into and out of the tubular member when the inner cover member is moved relative to the carrier for guiding the table to smoothly slide relative to the carrier.
