Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting objects in imaging systems are provided. An example method includes, during an image composition process for capturing an image of an object using an image sensor of the imaging system, and responsive to an indication that an intensity of glare light interfering with the imaging system is higher than a threshold, acquiring a first image using the image sensor, converting the first image into at least a second image, the second image including an intensity-adjusted version of the first image, intermittently displaying images including the first image and at least the second image on a display of the imaging system, and ceasing the intermittent displaying of the images.

Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a computer-program product embodied in a non-transitory computer readable medium that is programmed to provide an alert for a user of an environment outside of the user's visual field of view is provided. The computer-program product includes instructions to receive an echo profile indicative of at least one object outside of the user's visual field of view from headphones and to receive a command indicative of at least one object to detect on the echo profile from the user. The computer-program product includes instructions to generate an alert for the user to notify the user of a detected object in the user's visual field of view in the event the echo profile includes the at least one object.

Abstract: A noise cancellation system with harmonic filtering for a vehicle audio system may include at least one input sensor configured to transmit reference signals, and at least one input sensor configured to transmit at least two narrowband input signals each of the input signals including harmonic noise. The system may include a processor being programmed to receive the reference signals, the reference signals including at least two narrowband reference signals, receive the narrowband input signals, apply a gain reference control to the reference signals to determine whether the frequencies of each of the reference signals are within a predefined range of another, and remove one of the reference signals in response to the frequencies of each of the reference signals being within the predefined range of another to prevent common harmonic content from presiding on both reference signals during the algorithm adaption.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an audio device includes a plurality of ports. The audio device receives, from a first network via a first port included in the plurality of ports, at least one of a first audio signal and a first control signal. The audio device transmits the at least one of the first audio signal and the first control signal to an audio output device. In case of a fault associated with the first port, the audio device transmits at least one of a second audio signal and a second control signal to the audio output device, where the at least one of the second audio signal and the second control signal is received from a second network via a second port included in the plurality of ports.

Abstract: A loudspeaker and method of operating a loudspeaker are provided. The loudspeaker has a motor assembly with at least one planar coil. First and second magnets are magnetized in a magnetized direction perpendicular to a direction of coil movement and perpendicular to a central axis of radiation of the loudspeaker. The central axis of radiation is generally parallel to a direction of coil movement and parallel to the plane of the planar coil. The first and second magnets each have upper and lower large surface faces separated by a narrowest dimension. The first and second magnets are magnetized across the narrowest dimension in first and second magnetized directions being opposite.

Abstract: In an audio system, an audio signal is preprocessed to provide an input signal to a fast detector and a slow detector, the input signal comprising alert signals and ambient sounds. The slow detector determines the ambient sound level of the input signal which is output to an alert signal detector. The alert signal detector uses the ambient sound level to compute an adaptive threshold level using an adaptive threshold function. The fast detector determines the envelope level of the input signal which is output to the alert signal detector. The alert signal detector compares the envelope level to the adaptive threshold level to determine if an alert signal is present in the input signal. The adaptive threshold level varies depending on the ambient sound level of the input signal and the alert signal detection of the audio system automatically adapts to changing acoustic environments having different ambient sound levels.

Abstract: A noise cancellation system with harmonic filtering for a vehicle audio system may include at least one input sensor configured to transmit reference signals, at least one input sensor configured to transmit a narrowband input signal and a broadband input signal, each of the narrowband input signal and broadband input signal including harmonic noise. The system may include a processor being programmed to receive the reference signals, the reference signals including a narrowband reference signal and a broadband reference signal, apply an adaptive filter to each of the reference signals, apply a secondary path to the input signals to generate antinoise signals, sum the antinoise signals broadcast over the secondary path and the primary noise signals to generate an error signal at the output sensor, and apply an adaptive filter to the error signal to remove harmonic noise to prevent cancelation of the harmonic noise.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed for an example computing device for connecting audio devices to a network. In some embodiments, a computing device may store instructions executable to connect to one or more audio devices, and send the one or more audio devices provisioning information that causes the one or more audio devices to scan for additional audio devices and propagate the provisioning information to the additional audio devices. The provisioning information may also cause the one or more audio devices to connect to a central access point by sending a connection request based on the provisioning information to the central access point.

Abstract: An audio sharing system is configured to operate in at least two modes of operation. In a private mode, the audio sharing system outputs sound only to a user and may isolate the user from the surrounding acoustic environment. In a public mode of operation, the audio sharing system broadcasts sound to the user and to any other listeners in proximity to the user, thereby sharing sound in a social manner. The audio sharing system may also operate in other modes of operation that allow the selective sharing of sounds.
