Abstract: A laterally tiltable truck or trailer dump body with hinged side panels and hydraulically operated means for tilting the body laterally in the desired direction and for opening the side panel on the lower tilted side. The hydraulically operated means can also lift the dump body to a higher elevation in case the unloading area is at a height where this would be required. The hydraulic controls are preferably in the cab of the truck where they can be readily manipulated by the operator.
