Abstract: A hand truck stair crawler assembly having a new and novel stair engaging crawler assembly mounted on a conventional hand truck assembly. The stair engaging crawler assembly includes a pair of spaced, cooperating stair crawler assemblies secured to the hand truck assembly, each having a main roller support assembly with a main roller assembly connected thereto. The main roller support assembly includes a pair of spaced bearing retainer plates secured by a plate connector assembly to the hand truck assembly. The main roller assembly includes a plurality of spaced roller bearings mounted within the bearing retainer plates and having an endless belt member mounted thereon for engagement with stairs for traversing thereof. The roller bearing member is of a special design having a central body portion with outer end belt retaining sections to support the endless belt member having contact and support entirely on a plurality of cooperating roller bearing members.
Abstract: This invention relates to a drum dolly attachment apparatus having a conventional dolly truck assembly with a drum attachment assembly of this invention connected thereto. The dolly truck assembly includes a main truck frame on a support wheel assembly which is operable to be placed adjacent and under a drum member for connecting thereto. The drum attachment assembly is slidably mounted on an upright vertical handle of the dolly truck assembly and is operable to be placed in contact and grasp a main rim portion of the drum member. The drum attachment assembly is constructed so as to move vertically as required to adjust its position on the main rim portion of the drum member when moved from a vertical to an inclined position. The drum attachment assembly includes a drum connector assembly having a first stationary drum connector connectable to an upper inner portion of the main rim portion and a second actuator drum connector connectable to an outer lower portion of the main rim portion of the drum member.
Abstract: This invention relates to a ratchet apparatus adapted to be connected to a hand truck assembly in order to control movement of an article connector assembly about an article to be conveyed. The ratchet apparatus includes a ratchet housing assembly; a ratchet handle assembly connected to the ratchet housing assembly; and a ratchet actuator assembly mounted between the ratchet handle assembly and the ratchet housing assembly. The ratchet handle assembly includes a main handle assembly operable in a reciprocal rotational movement to achieve positive, controlled movement of a connector belt member. The ratchet actuator assembly includes a main actuator assembly having a ratchet dog assembly and a ratchet pawl assembly operably connected to a ratchet drive assembly.
Abstract: This invention is a combination stepladder and hand truck apparatus having a ladder support frame assembly pivotally connected to an upper portion of a hand truck support frame assembly and further including a support and lock plate assembly and a wheel support assembly which are both connected to a lower portion of the hand truck support frame assembly. The ladder support frame assembly includes a basic support frame with a support handle member at one end portion thereof and interconnected by axially spaced support step assembly. The support step assembly includes a lock or latch step member which is operable to support a user thereon and conjointly locks with the hand truck support frame assembly in a rigid condition when in the stepladder usage condition. The support and lock plate assembly includes a support plate member which is pivotally mounted on a support shaft member which, in turn, is secured across a lower portion of the hand truck support frame assembly.
Abstract: The wire guide and retainer assembly of this invention is utilized with a wire dispenser stand assembly to dispense a wire strand member from the reel members mounted on a support assembly. The wire guide and retainer assembly includes (1) a first wire guide assembly; and (2) a second wire guide assembly. The first wire guide assembly includes a first frame support assembly secured to the support assembly; and a first pulley assembly mounted on said first frame support assembly. The first frame support assembly includes a pair of support arms having one end pivotally connected to the support assembly and a support shaft mounted between the support arms. The first pulley assembly is rotatably mounted on the support shaft and axially movable thereon. The second wire guide assembly is substantially identical to the first wire assembly with a second pulley assembly mounted on a support shaft member.
