    Abstract: An antenna includes an elongate dielectric strip having opposing first and second sides. A first conductive pattern defines a first radiating element for a first frequency range on the first side of the elongate dielectric strip. A second conductive pattern defines a second radiating element for a second frequency range on the first side of the elongate dielectric strip. The second frequency range is different than the first frequency range. A diplexer circuit is on the elongate dielectric strip between said first and second radiating elements and coupled thereto. A third conductive pattern defines a shared ground plane for the first and second radiating elements on the second side of the elongate dielectric strip.

A first one of the quadrifilar radiating elements (QRE) is comprised of a plurality of first bifilar helical loops (BHLs). The BHLs are oriented in a mutual orthogonal relationship on a common axis. A second QRE shares a common feed structure with the first QRE. The second QRE comprises a plurality of second BHLs oriented in a mutual orthogonal relationship on the common axis. The first QRE is tuned for operation in a first frequency band, the second QRE is tuned for operation in a second frequency band different from the first frequency band.

The methods comprise: providing an electronic device with the cryptographic algorithm implementing a permutation function ƒ configured to produce a first keystream using bits input thereto, the permutation function ƒ comprising a round function ƒround consisting of a mixing layer in which input bits are combined together; and customizing the mixing layer of the permutation function ƒ while the electronic device is in the field. The mixing layer is customized by: receiving, by the electronic device, a first user-software interaction for entering a first bit string comprising a plurality of first arbitrary bits; breaking the first bit string into a plurality of equal length segments each comprising only a portion of the plurality of first bits; and translating each of the equal length segments into irreducible polynomial coefficients and/or an irreducible polynomial identifier.
