Patent number: 11421780Abstract: A system and method are presented that measure the temperature of a component in a continuously variable transmission (CVT) system. An infrared temperature sensor is mounted in a thermally insulating sensor housing such that the sensor is located within the interior of a CVT housing and aimed at the component. The component can be a belt in the CVT system or a stationary sheave in one of the two clutches of the CVT system. The sensor housing can have a cup and a stem with the sensor being positioned within that portion of the sensor housing positioned within the interior of the CVT housing. When the stem is in the interior of the CVT housing, a nut can be used to secure the sensor housing to the CVT housing while protecting the infrared sensor from damage. An air temperature sensor in the exhaust port can provide supplemental temperature readings.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2021Date of Patent: August 23, 2022Assignee: High Performance Harry's Inc.Inventor: Harold Desautel

Patent number: 11161263Abstract: A connector for a razor handle having first and second arms, each arm including a fixed end, a terminal end where the terminal end has a razor cartridge engagement member movable from a capture position to a release position, a first surface and an opposed second surface. An activator having an activation element acts on each arm for moving the arms toward each other into the release position when the activator is activated, and a biasing member that acts on each arm for biasing the arms outwardly into the capture position. The activation element acts on the arms between the fixed end and the terminal end on the first surface of the arms and the biasing member acts on the arms between the fixed end and the terminal end on the second surface of the arms.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2019Date of Patent: November 2, 2021Assignee: Harry's, Inc.Inventors: James Robert Parmele, Justin Garrett Riley

Patent number: 10807261Abstract: A razor handle including a hollow, elongated gripping member having an open end, a second end and an intermediate opening, a cartridge connection member having a first end adapted to retain a razor cartridge and a second end forming an insert having a receiver, and a fastener adapted to pass through the intermediate opening of the gripping member and engage the receiver on the insert to securely retain the cartridge connection member on the gripping member. Also, a method of manufacturing a razor handle including inserting an insert of a cartridge connection member into an open end of a gripping member, passing a stem member of the fastener through an intermediate opening of the gripping portion, and securing the stem of the fastener to the cartridge connection member to retain the cartridge connection member on the gripping portion.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2018Date of Patent: October 20, 2020Assignee: Harry's, Inc.Inventors: Francis Zaremba, Michael Chad Makay, Robert Angelo Riccomini
