  • Publication number: 20260196764
Abstract: A protective device (2) for sealing a plug connection consisting of a plug connector and a mating connector should be inexpensive and easy to manufacture. Preferably, it should be easy to retrofit the plug connection, when already installed/assembled, with the protective device (2). The protective device (2) is in the form of a single-piece protective cover (2). It consists of an elastic material, e.g. rubber, and is substantially tubular in shape, i.e. it is open on both sides and-apart from these two openings-sealed around its circumference. In particular, the protective cover (2) can be turned inside out so that it can be pulled over the already assembled plug connector from the plug-side direction, i.e. folded back. Preferably, the shape of the protective cover (2) may correspond to the outer contour of the plug connector.

  • Patent number: 12651877
Abstract: In order to produce a circuit board plug connector in which the advantages of hermaphroditic plug connectors are combined with the advantages of conventional plug connectors, a contact carrier is equipped with both plug contacts of a first type and plug contacts of a second type in equal numbers. Advantageously, the plug contacts of the first type are designed as “male” contacts (blade contacts) and the plug contacts of the second type are designed as “female” contacts (fork contacts) and can be plugged into one another in principle.

  • Patent number: 11611174
Abstract: On a round plug, outwardly directed detent hooks are arranged between a plug-in region and a contact carrier portion of an insulating body or a base portion of the round plug housing. A mating connector has, on a plug-in side of a threaded portion, an inwardly directed circumferential or interrupted detent lug. The detent arms do not need to reach through the threaded portion. The detent arms can therefore be made particularly strong, and the inner thread can be continuous. The retaining forces of the locking/screwing are thus very high, and the detent arms for example can be integrally molded on a plastic insulation body, and thus be formed in one piece therewith, for simplified production. Operation and manufacture are significantly simplified.

  • Publication number: 20210151908
Abstract: A plug-type connector for connecting a cable with at least one wire to a respective plug contact includes a first housing part, a connection block and a second housing part. A hinge connection allows the second housing part to pivot out of a first position into a second position towards the first housing part. In the first position the wire can be inserted into a wire channel of the connection block and, in the second position, the second housing part presses the connection block against the insulation displacement contact. The second housing part can move into a third position in which the connection block is fully pressed onto the insulation displacement contact. The hinge connection allows an insertion movement from the second into the third position such that the second housing part inserts the wire into the insulation displacement contact in an exclusively translatory manner.
