Patents Assigned to Harvest International, Inc.
  • Patent number: 10190627
Abstract: Tapered bearings are used on each end of each link arm on an agricultural seed row planter mounted on a toolbar. The bearing is a low friction material and greaseless. The tapered design of the bearings allows the bearings to be adjusted as wear occurs, by tightening the link arm mounting nut which extends through the tapered bearing. The tapered bearing has an increased life and reduced maintenance, as compared to prior art roller bearings.

  • Patent number: 9554505
Abstract: A pneumatic manifold is provided for a folding toolbar for use with seed planters having pneumatic seed metering devices. The manifold is formed within the tubular center section and opposite folding wings of the toolbar. A flexible coupler is provided at each wing hinge juncture to provide air flow through the toolbar wings and the center section, while allowing the toolbar to fold and unfold between the transport and field positions.

  • Patent number: 9174804
Abstract: A hood assembly is provided for a conveyor having a housing with an inlet opening, a belt or auger for transporting particulate material through the housing from the inlet end to the outlet end. The hood assembly includes a hood pivotally mounted to the housing for movement between a closed position substantially closing the inlet end and an open position substantially exposing the inlet end. When the hood is opened, the inlet end of the conveyor housing can be visually inspected and physically cleaned to remove particulate material remnants remaining in the inlet end after the conveyor is shut off. A hopper is provided on the hood to facilitate introduction of material into the conveyor.

  • Patent number: 8960722
Abstract: A trailer for transporting an agricultural harvesting head includes a pair of saddles for supporting the head. The saddles are adjustably mounted on the trailer frame and are simultaneously moved together by an actuator operated by a remote control. The saddles are connected by telescoping rod sections so that the spacing between the saddles is adjustable.

  • Publication number: 20140099203
Abstract: In an embodiment, a vertical axis wind turbine may be constructed to better survive wear and tear while being more energy efficient. A turbine blade may capture air movement to generate power. A blade arm may hold the turbine blade parallel to a rotating shaft. The blade arm may transmit torque from the turbine blade to the rotating shaft to drive a rotor of an electrical power generator. A moment-free connector may connect the turbine blade to the blade arm to transmit a stress maxima to a structural strongpoint of the turbine blade away from the moment-free connector.

  • Publication number: 20140100784
Abstract: In an embodiment, an automatic wind turbine placement device may automatically place vertical axis wind turbines in a land plot. The automatic wind turbine placement device may factor a turbine parameter set describing a vertical axis wind turbine array with a land parameter set describing a land plot. The automatic wind turbine placement device may calculate an optimal vertical axis wind turbine placement on the land plot to maximize electrical power production based on the turbine parameter set and the land parameter set. The automatic wind turbine placement device may apply the optimal vertical axis wind turbine placement to a land plot description. The automatic wind turbine placement device may present an output land plot description describing the optimal vertical axis wind turbine placement in relation to the land plot to a user.
