  • Patent number: 8747367
Abstract: An injection apparatus has a barrel (50) that is adapted to receive a container (108) with injection fluid (110). It further comprises a piston rod (98), provided with a thread (100), for expelling injection fluid (110) from such a container (108), which piston rod (98) is guided relative to the barrel (50) in the axial direction (112, 114). Additionally provided is a threaded part (122) whose thread (120) is in engagement with the thread (100) of the piston rod (98), which threaded part (122) is rotatable relative to the piston rod (98) and relative to the barrel (50) in order to set an injection dose, and, during an injection operation, is prevented from rotating relative to the piston rod (98).

  • Publication number: 20140128808
Abstract: An injection device has a housing which includes a first housing part and a second housing part. The injection device has a receptacle for an injection needle. The receptacle is connected to a drive unit which moves the receptacle between proximal and distal end positions relative to the second housing part. The first housing part has a set piece for placing on the skin before triggering an injection. The first housing part is permanently fastened with respect to the second housing part. In a method for making the injection device, the first housing part is positioned on the second housing part so that the receptacle has a specified position relative to the set piece in the proximal end position thereof, and that the first housing part is permanently fastened in this position opposite the second housing part. A defined insertion depth can thus be ensured.

  • Patent number: 8512296
Abstract: An injection device (30) features a housing (42, 52) for reception of a container (34) having a fluid (32) to be injected, a first element (94) for ejecting injection fluid (32) from such a container (34), and said first element (94) has an external thread (92). A metering element (66, 88) has an internal thread (90) that is in engagement with the external thread (92) of the first element (94), and said metering element (66) is rotatable, together with the first element (94), for preselection of a desired injection dose. A coupling arrangement (K1) serves, during an injection operation, to create a nonrotatable connection between the first element (94) and the housing (42, 52) and thereby to block, during an injection operation, a rotation of the first element (94) relative to the housing (42, 52) but to enable a rotation of the metering element (66, 88) relative to the housing (42, 52).

  • Publication number: 20130030383
Abstract: An injection device has a housing (34), and a carpule container (44) for receiving a carpule (50) having a fluid (52) to be injected and having a piston (48) displaceable in said carpule (50). It further has a piston rod (38) with end plate (46?) which serves, in the context of an injection, to displace the piston (48) of a carpule (50) inserted into the carpule container (44) and thereby to eject fluid (52) from the carpule (50). In order to minimize patient error in adjusting the amount of fluid medication (52) to be injected, the mechanism includes a first component (68) and a second component (92) which link (98) and interact with each other, to control when the carpule container (44) can rotate with respect to the housing (34), and to prevent creation of an axial gap (62) between end plate (46?) and piston (48).

  • Patent number: 5114406
Abstract: To permit accuracy presetting of a dose for an injection to be ejected from an ampule (12) containing more fluid medication than the dose requires, a plunger (18) which is telescopically received within a tubular element (77) is movable against the customary piston (17) in the ampule for a distance which depends on the extent of telescopic insertion of the plunger stem (18") within the tubular element (77). This extent can be set by a rotary knob or sleeve (56, 65) which rotates the tubular element with respect to the plunger (18); the plunger and tubular element are coupled together by a steeply pitched spiral thread (76), thereby controlling the extent of projection of the combined injection dosing arrangement of plunger (18) and plunger length setting mechanism (77), and hence controlling the amount of medicinal fluid expelled through an injection needle (16) coupled to the ampule (12) at the end of the injection device.

  • Patent number: 5092842
Abstract: The injection device described comprises a loading element (74) which can be moved longitudinally for loading purposes and is rotatable for the purpose of setting the injection dose. Associated with this loading element (74) is a second setting element (86). The latter allows a judicious internal combination of the information supplied by the position of the loading element (74) and of the second setting element (86). The patient can effect several individually-dosed injections from a single container.

  • Patent number: 5042977
Abstract: An injection device can be loaded by the user only when in the zero position. This reminds even forgetful patients to readjust the dose before the injection and is of great help to blind patients.

  • Patent number: 4823906
Abstract: A double-headed body contact piece has first and second acoustic connector portions connected to first and second acoustic passages of a stethoscope-tube attachment, and further has a first, non-differential auscultation head with a single auscultation chamber and a second, differential-auscultation head with a pair of chambers which latter are to be placed simultaneously with each other against a patient's body with a predetermined spacing between them. A switchover mechanism has first and second settings, involving registration and non-registration of various passages internal to the body contact piece. In the first setting, acoustic connections are established leading from the single chamber of the first head to both the first and the second acoustic connector portions, these two connections being of at least equivalent geometry and having the same dimensions so as to be acoustically equivalent to each other.
