Patents Assigned to Hasler AG Bern
  • Patent number: 4692127
Abstract: An intermediate shaft is provided which achieves a sliding connection between an outer part (17) and an inner part (18) inserted into the outer part. Two Cardan joints are formed of axial bores (22, 31). The joint heads (48, 49) are inserted into the axial bores (22, 31) and include grooves (53, 52) which are open on one side. Dog driver bolts (44, 45) engage the open grooves. A helical spring (19) tensions the intermediate shaft (15) between the joints.

  • Patent number: 4649231
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a teleprinting machine capable of transmitting and writing capital and small letters, where the number of additionally transmitted shift code combinations is minimized in order to reduce the transmission time in this fashion.

  • Patent number: 4639581
Abstract: An axle suitable for a postage meter is disclosed which comprises a metallic core surrounded by a jacket of plastic material which jacket can be produced by injection molding. The cross-section of the core is like an H, and this generates two longitudinal grooves along the axle. In addition several bearing flanges are produced at the jacket, which allow the mounting of the axle as well as the attachment of a drum. Guide plates can be provided at the jacket near the longitudinal grooves.

  • Patent number: 4470018
Abstract: A circuit is provided for producing a control voltage depending on a frequency and/or phase difference between a first and a second periodic signal. The periodic signals are fed to trigger circuits to provide trigger signals. An inhibiting time interval generator receives the trigger signals and produces inhibiting signals. The trigger signals are the inhibiting signals are fed to an inhibiting circuit which inhibits passage of trigger signals depending on the passage of recently passed trigger signals. A first flip-flop circuit is connected to the inhibiting circuit and the signals passed by the inhibiting circuit set and reset the flip-flop. The output of the first flip-flop is fed to an averaging circuit for generating an output control voltage. A comparator connected to the output of the averaging circuit compares the output control voltage with an average output control voltage and its output is connected to the inhibiting circuit.

  • Patent number: 4462099
Abstract: A data transmission system comprising a plurality of terminal units each having at least one input and at least one output connected such that each connected input of a terminal unit is connected to a connected output of another terminal unit. Each terminal unit with at least two input connections comprises a changeover switch to provide for incoming signal induced connecting of one of the inputs to a receiver circuit for recognizing and receiving certain signals. A test circuit is connected to the receiver circuit for determining if the test signals received are free from errors. An error sum counter is connected to the test circuit and to the changeover switch. At least one of the terminal units comprises an emitting provision for test signals, which is connected to the outputs of the terminal unit to provide for checking of the functioning of the transmission system. For each missing or defective test signal train received an error message is fed to the error sum counter for increasing the count value.

  • Patent number: 4373764
Abstract: A class of electrical connectors is provided wherein the socket employs an elastic element actuated by the insertion process of the plug into the connector and which elastic element assures a pressure contact between two contact elements. A female multipoint connector can provide a socket for a printed circuit board. The female multipoint connector supports two rows of weakly elastic conducting electrical contact elements. The contact elements are touched on their outside by strand-shaped elastic elements. The strand-shaped elements are captive disposed in slot openings in the longitudinal walls of the multipoint connector and protrude on the side beyond the longitudinal wall. The printed circuit board can be inserted into the opening of the female multipoint connector with its contact strip ending on a protrusion. The printed circuit board supports on both sides rigidly attached clamping elements. The clamping elements have an L-shaped cross-section and their inner sides are bevelled.

  • Patent number: 4225962
Abstract: A mosaic printer is made secure from unauthorized interception of data by falsifying the needle drive pulse current magnitude and sequence so that electromagnetic leakage radiation cannot be used to determine the alphanumeric data being printed. This falsification is accomplished by a compensation device having compensators energized each print cycle in addition to the printer needle drives in a reciprocal or a pseudorandom manner. The compensators have current consumption characteristics nominally identical to the needle drives and produce substantially identical radiation pulses, making it impossible to correlate the radiated pulse format with the symbol being printed.
