Abstract: A wall-mounted electronic device holder is described. The wall-mounted electronic device holder displays information related to a patient room and/or a patient assigned to the patient room. The wall-mounted electronic device holder includes connections to a hospital communication network and power connections. The wall-mounted electronic devices includes input and output devices, such as a display and configurable light source to project information about the patient and/or the patient room.
Abstract: A data and power adapter (DPA) for assistance requests is described. The DPA includes multiple interfaces. A first interface communicatively couples a backend computer and a patient device of a health care facility. Services to and from the patient device can be supported through the first interface. A second interface communicatively couples a personal electronic device (PED) and/or a PED holder and the backend computer and provides power from a power source of the health care facility to the PED and/or PED holder. The PED may include an assistance request button. In this way, some or all of the services, including assistance request services, can also be supported via the PED and/or PED holder.
Abstract: A personal electronic device holder with a clamp is described. The clamp including a body having a U-shape, a first surface, and a second surface. The first surface and the second surface positionable to selectively clamp against a side rail of health care facility equipment. The holder also includes a structure for retaining and powering or providing data and power to a personal electronic device at the end of a positionable arm connected to the clamp.
Abstract: A portable electronic device (PED) holder assembly and related methods. A PED holder assembly includes a PED holder assembly to which a PED is detachably attachable, an output connector adapted for connection to an input port of a PED held by the PED holder assembly, an assistance request button attached to the PED holder assembly, a connection cable assembly operatively connected to the output connector and the assistance request button, and a bed-side connector assembly adapted to be connected to a bed-side end of a multifunctional assistance request cable. The bed-side connector assembly is operatively connected to the output connector, via the connection cable assembly, to transmit power received from the multifunctional assistance request cable to the PED. The bed-side connector is operatively connected to the assistance request button to transmit an assistance request signal generated via a pressing of the assistance request button through the multifunctional assistance request cable.

Abstract: A device for attaching a digital device to a hospital bed side rail. The device includes a connector for attaching to the side rail, an arm connected to the connector, and an electronic device holder at an opposite end of the arm. The electronic device holder is configured to receive a digital device, such as a tablet, laptop computer, phone, or other electronic device. The arm is, in embodiments, articulating, flexible, rotatable, and/or otherwise configurable to allow positioning of the electronic device holder in a desired position relative to the patient. Thus, after the connector is attached to the side rail, the arm can be moved to position and support the electronic device holder relative to a patient.
