Abstract: A self-cleaning/self-purging ceramic, telflon-copolymer composite filter capable of continuous and/or intermittent cleaning and suitable for installation within a reaction or precipitation vessel. The filter can be cleaned either continuously or intermittently by ultra sound vibration and/or backpressure within the filter system. This invention is appropriate for use in industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial and municipal processing and/or wastewater treatment applications where the removal of undesired contaminants is desired.
Abstract: A method and system for the creation of large particle precipitates to facilitate the filtering of particles from a flow of water or other liquid that makes use of a venturi device for mixing, compressing and diffusing chemicals with the flow for treatment. This invention provides a quick, efficient and economical method of removing suspended or dissolved particles from a liquid media and does so without requiring complex expensive controls and equipment.
