Patents Assigned to Hayes Lemmerz Holding GmbH
  • Patent number: 10752062
Abstract: A system for indirectly monitoring the inflation pressure of pneumatic-tyred vehicle wheels, and also to a wheel. The wheel is having a wheel body with a rim part and a disc part, and a tyre detachably fitted on the rim part of the wheel body. The wheel comprises at least one deformation sensor for sensing the tyre inflation pressure at the time, and the system comprises a data transmission device for transmitting sensor signals of the at least one sensor to an evaluation device, and an evaluation device for evaluating the sensor signals. In order to provide a system and vehicle wheels that are simplified in comparison with the tyre pressure monitoring system previously used, the deformation sensor is fitted on the wheel body and is usable or used for sensing inflation-pressure-dependent deformations of the wheel body.

  • Patent number: 8757732
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle hybrid wheel comprising a formed steel rim ring and a wheel disk, manufactured as a light-alloy casting having a concentrically formed disk edge, on which the rim ring bears at least partially at multiple, spaced contact points for rotationally fixed connection to the wheel disk. In order to ensure an adequate force flux between the rim ring and the wheel disk, the wheel disk is provided with a circumferentially formed depression, in which a circumferential edge of the rim ring, angled radially outwards in relation to a bead seat section formed on the rim ring, engages by positive interlock and/or force closure.

  • Patent number: 8042879
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle wheel, in particular a hybrid vehicle wheel, composed of a wheel disc, which is fabricated from lightweight metal as a cast part, and a rim ring, which is made from steel, is connected to the wheel disc in a rotationally fixed fashion and has at least one rim horn and a drop base edge, and a method for manufacturing such a hybrid vehicle wheel. In order to be able to manufacture the hybrid vehicle wheel at low cost and to ensure sufficient force flow between the rim ring and the wheel disc, the wheel disc has, on the disc edge, a contour which is matched to the profile of the rim horn and drop base edge and extends over the distance between them and on which the rim ring bears in the mounted state of the wheel disc and rim ring while clamping the wheel disc between a first pressure zone on the drop base edge and a second pressure zone on the rim horn. Fitting is carried out by folding over or rolling over a rim ring blank onto the edge of the disc.

  • Patent number: 6813938
Abstract: A control method and apparatus for a biaxial wheel test stand for simulating driving loads. The test stand including a load unit having a servo-hydraulic vertical load cylinder for adjusting a vertical force, a servo-hydraulic horizontal load cylinder for adjusting a horizontal force, and a pivot head which can be adjusted by means of a camber cylinder for adjusting the camber angle of a wheel to be tested. The test stand further including a drive unit with a driven drum having starting rings, to which the wheel to be tested is pressed with the load units, wherein the vertical load cylinder and the horizontal load cylinder control the forces and the camber cylinder controls the camber angle.
