  • Patent number: 8939614
Abstract: A pattern forming apparatus for a light guide panel is provided. The apparatus may include a pattern design system, a control system, a header moving unit including an XY moving unit and a header unit, a laser system, beam splitters, and an optical unit. The pattern design system may have an input of data on a pattern. The control system may connect with the pattern design system and transmits a position signal. The XY moving unit may mechanically move up/down and left/right in response to the position signal. The header unit may be coupled with the XY moving unit and reflects a scanned laser beam. The laser system may output a laser beam by a pulse signal. The beam splitters may split a laser beam into two or more laser beams. The optical unit may reflect and collect the two or more laser beams.

  • Publication number: 20140321157
Abstract: A backlight unit with a light guide plate preventing a dark area between LEDs is provided, wherein dark area-preventing patterns may adequately compensate for the brightness in a gap between the LEDs that may be a dark area even under the condition that the gap is relatively large and greater than or equal to the width of an LED and thus, uniform brightness may be obtained without an occurrence of the dark area. Accordingly, the number of the LEDs may decrease and thus, a large-sized backlight unit may be fabricated with a relatively low cost.

  • Publication number: 20140301105
Abstract: A backlight unit with a light guide plate preventing the dark area between light emitting diodes (LEDs) is provided, wherein a plurality of dark area-preventing patterns formed on an incidence plane of a light guide plate and having different angles of inclination or different radii of curvature may evenly diffuse lights incident from an LED even under the condition that the gap between the LEDs is relatively broad and greater than or equal to the width of an LED and thus, uniform brightness may be obtained without an occurrence of a dark area. Accordingly, the number of the LEDs may be decreased and the backlight unit may be fabricated with a relatively low cost.

  • Patent number: 8764427
Abstract: An apparatus for forming a pattern using a laser is provided. The apparatus includes a pattern storing unit, a controller, a laser oscillating unit, an X-Y driver, a header unit, and a stage. The pattern storing unit stores data on light guide patterns of a discontinuous straight line shape. The controller transmits position signal of the light guide patterns to the X-Y driver and simultaneously, transmits a switching signal to the laser oscillating unit. The laser oscillating unit outputs a laser beam synchronized with a movement of the header unit. The X-Y driver moves the header unit and the stage. The header unit moves along a first guide rail. The stage moves along a fixed second guide rail in the front and rear direction of the light guide panel.
