  • Patent number: 11937935
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to the first methods and systems for diagnosing a patient being affected by a brain injury from a blast with greater accuracy that previous methods. The methods and system include an automated, non-invasive method for assessing the variance of a patient's ocular motility relative to a matched cohort of unaffected subjects, and using the variance in one or more ocular motility metrics to calculate a score that indicates a likelihood that the patient suffers from a blast brain injury. The score, referred to as a BIS, discriminates between affected an unaffected subjects with a sensitivity of greater than about 85%, a specificity of greater than 75%. The ROCAUC of the BIS is greater than 0.85.

  • Publication number: 20240090791
Abstract: In a method for masking one or more regions surrounding an anatomical region of interest for each of one or more MRI images obtained from MRI imaging data, the one or more regions surrounding the anatomical region of interest are masked based on control data determined for identifying the anatomical region of interest in the MRI imaging data. The MRI imaging data may be obtained during an MRI exam of a patient for a measurement volume including the anatomical region of interest. The anatomical region of interest may be ascertained before performing the MRI exam.

  • Patent number: 11883118
Abstract: A surgical navigation system may include a processor and a display. The processor may receive a patient image and sensor data captured by a sensor, receive a medical image, generate a hologram of the medical image, perform coregistration between the patient image and the hologram, superimpose the hologram on the patient image, and display the superimposed image. Coregistration may be performed manually via a user interaction, or automatically based on one or more fiducials in the medical image and sensor data related to the fiducials. The system may monitor a change in the environment and update the display correspondingly. For example, the system may monitor a movement of a body of the patient, monitor the size of an organ of the patient as the organ is being under operation, or a movement of the surgical instrument. The sensor may be an augmented reality (AR) sensor in an AR device.

  • Patent number: 11865199
Abstract: A method is disclosed whereby consumers enrolled in a prescription benefit plan can obtain prescription medication fulfillment at any participating pharmacy of their choice, regardless of whether the fulfillment is by a retail pharmacy or a mail order pharmacy, and whether the quantity of medication prescribed is for administration over a short period (acute care) or a prolonged period (maintenance). The plan of this invention operates by having the plan manager substantially equalize the financial effects of the discounts and services fees allowed to participating pharmacies such that both retail and mail order pharmacies are compensated in a manner which encourages them to accept all consumers and fill all prescriptions. Compensation is preferably adjusted periodically by the manager to retain pharmacy incentives. Consumers obtain choice of pharmacies, plan payers have pleased employees and members and pharmacies obtain income from the entire spectrum of consumers.

  • Patent number: 11751832
Abstract: Systems and techniques that facilitate automated localization of large vessel occlusions are provided. In various embodiments, an input component can receive computed tomography angiogram (CTA) images of a patient's brain. In various embodiments, a localization component can determine, via a machine learning algorithm, a location of a large vessel occlusion (LVO) in the patient's brain based on the CTA images. In various instances, the location of the LVO can comprise a laterality and an occlusion site. In various aspects, the laterality can indicate a right side or a left side of the patient's brain, and the occlusion site can indicate an internal carotid artery (ICA), an M1 segment of a middle cerebral artery (MCA) or an M2 segment of an MCA. In various cases, a visualization component can generate and display to a user a three-dimensional maximum intensity projection (MIP) reconstruction of the patient's brain based on the CTA images to facilitate visual verification of the LVO by the user.
