  • Patent number: 11889796
Abstract: A monitoring system for an irrigation system that includes a nozzle and a product source that supports a product for mixing with water from a water source to which the irrigation system is operably coupled. The monitoring system includes: a sensor configured to generate a first electrical signal indicative of a travel speed and/or a travel direction of the irrigation system; a fluid pressure sensor configured to generate a second electrical signal indicative of a flow rate, a processor, a memory, and a variable speed pump or a valve. The memory includes instructions, which when executed by the processor cause the monitoring system to: receive the first and second generated electrical signals, determine an applied rate of the irrigation fluid over a predetermined irrigation area based on the first and second electrical signals, and adjust the flow rate of the irrigation fluid through the at least one nozzle.

  • Patent number: 11681285
Abstract: A predictive maintenance system for an irrigation system includes one or more sensors configured to generate a signal indicative of abnormal operation within the irrigation system, the sensors electrically coupled to a drive system, a processor, and a memory. The memory includes instructions stored thereon, which when executed by the processor cause the predictive maintenance system to receive the generated signal, determine abnormal operation of the drive system based on the generated signal, and predict, by a machine learning model, a maintenance requirement of the drive system based on the determined abnormal operation.

  • Patent number: 11620619
Abstract: A system predicts needed maintenance for an irrigation system that includes a portion of the irrigation system and a movable end gun operably associated with the portion of the irrigation system. The predictive maintenance system includes a controller and one or more sensors configured to couple to the movable end gun and configured to electrically communicate with the controller. The one or more sensors are configured to generate an electrical signal indicative of movement and/or positioning of the movable end gun relative to the portion of the irrigation system over time. The controller is configured to receive the electrical signal and determine whether the movable end gun, or one or more components thereof, requires maintenance based on the electrical signal. The signal indicative of abnormal operation includes an indication of movement and/or positioning relative to the portion of the irrigation system over a period of time.

  • Patent number: 11490576
Abstract: A modular kinematic and telemetry system for an irrigation system includes a condition-based monitoring (CBM) system and a plurality of sets of modular foot assemblies. The CBM system has a housing and supports a plurality of kinematic and telemetry components. The plurality of sets of modular foot assemblies includes a first set and a second set that secure to the housing of the CBM system. The first set is configured to secure the CBM system to a first end gun configuration and the second set is configured to secure the CBM system to a second end gun configuration that is different from the first end gun configuration.

  • Patent number: 11317572
Abstract: A monitoring system for an irrigation system is presented. The irrigation system includes a movable end gun operatively associated with a portion of the irrigation system. The monitoring system includes a sensor configured to generate an electrical signal indicative of movement and/or positioning of the movable end gun relative to the portion of the irrigation system over time, a processor, and a memory. The memory includes instructions stored thereon, which when executed by the processor cause the system to: receive the generated electrical signal, determine whether the movable end gun, or one or more components thereof, requires maintenance based on the electrical signal, and determine when the moveable end gun is in an on and/or off trigger state based on the electrical signal.
