Abstract: A table includes a table support; a slide guide secured to the table top; a sliding member received in the slide guide for displacements relative to the table top and parallel to its main plane; a stationary table support; first and second link bars articulated to the table support and the sliding member. The first and second link bars together form a link bar guide. A coupling bar is articulated to a mid region of one of the first and second link bars and to a component affixed to the table top. This construction provides that a pivotal motion of the parallel linkage guide causes a displacement of the sliding member relative to the table top in its main plane and also causes a height-changing displacement of the table top relative to the table support transversely to its main plane, while the table top remains in an unchanged position relative to the main table top plane. Further, a height-arresting device is provided for immobilizing the table top in any height position thereof.

Abstract: A strap seat, utilizable in particular by persons descending on a rope by means of a rope payout device, comprises a pair of carrying bands having upper ends connected to one another at a junction or overlap point and lower ends folded back upon themselves to form a pair of leg loops. The carrying bands are firmly attached at their overlap point to a pair of trousers and are guided substantially along an upper edge of the trousers through openings or loops in a triangular extension of the trousers. The bottoms of the trouser legs are closed, while the carrying bands are attached to the upper ends of the trouser legs in the crotch area of the trousers. A rope payout device is connectable to the strap seat at the overlap point of the carrying bands.

Abstract: A stand for a display terminal and keyboard comprising a table-like plate for the terminal, titably mounted on a guide means, and a shelf for said keyboard which slides into and out of said guide means. The guide means is rotatably mounted on a carriage which rolls on a horizontal rail. The display terminal and the keyboard can be rotated in any direction and moved along the rail so that they are accessible to two users working beside the stand. Additionally, the keyboard may be moved independently toward and away from the display terminal to accommodate the user.
