Abstract: A self-elevating platform construction consisting of first (3) and second (4) vertical masts each provided with a rack (13), first (14) and second (15) carriages movable along the first and second masts respectively, and each provided with a gear (26) rotated by a motor and meshing with the mast rack (13), as well as a support for a platform (16) borne on supporting shafts (32) of said first and second carriages (14, 15) and extending between said first and second masts (3, 4). The construction is characterized in that the platform (16) is rigid and in that the supports (32) of the first and second carriages (14, 15) comprise shafts (32) perpendicular to the rack (13) of the first and second masts (3, 4), respectively. Said construction is mainly suitable for building construction and renovation.

Abstract: The invention relates to an elevating work platform having a working platform (16) which can move vertically upwards on at least two parallel masts (3, 4), and which has a carriage (14, 15) for each mast (3, 4). The carriage (14, 15) is guided on the respective mast (3, 4) and has a driving unit. The working platform (16) is supported on the carriage (14, 15) by means of joining elements (40), and power transmission between the mast (3, 4) and the carriage (14, 15) takes place by positive locking. The invention seeks by simple means to compensate the movement of the working platform (16) in relation to the masts (3, 4). This is necessary due to the load to which the working platform (16) is subjected and due to construction tolerances, and so as to prevent high levels of tension in the devating work platform.

Abstract: A platform is equipped with a chair, which chair is displaceable along a mast, and to which chair platform components can be affixed, whereby, force indication means are incorporated between the chair and the platform components so that an indication can be provided concerning the differences in the mechanical loading of the platform components located at opposite sides of the chair.A simple embodiment arises through the application of a beam which is freely-spanned with respect to the chair and which is connected in a hinged manner with the platform components, within which beam force indication means are incorporated.
