Abstract: A breast prosthesis to be worn on the body of a person who has had a mastectomy includes a soft-elastic prosthetic body made of two plastic sheets which are connected to each other along a common edge, with a plastic mass being contained hollow-free between the plastic sheets. The prosthetic body has a front side resembling in its form the natural breast and a rear side which faces the wearer's body. A fabric member covers the rear side and is attached solely to the peripheral edge of the plastic sheets of the prosthetic body to thereby increase the comfort of wearing the breast prosthesis. The fabric member is suitably made of thermoplastic material, with the welding of the plastic sheets and the welding of the fabric member with the plastic sheets being carried out in a single working step.

Abstract: A closing apparatus for pockets in articles of clothing includes a soft, bendable, thin and flat body member which is securable to a garment and is comprised of at least three body sections, wherein each body section has two side parts, with one side part overlapping a side part of a neighboring body section, and with the other side part extending underneath a side part of another neighboring body section. A seam is applied about the perimeter of the body member for joining the body sections with each other in the respective overlapping areas. Each body section has a rectilinear edge which loosely sits upon the side part of a neighboring body section for closing the pocket of the garment and is displaceable for allowing access to the pocket. The loose edges intersect in a point of intersection which lies essentially in a center of the body member.

Abstract: A breast prosthesis to be worn in a top part of a bathing suit includes a cup-shaped prosthetic body made of soft plastic material and having a rear side which faces a wearer's body and defines a cavity. At least one stiffening rib projects radially from the rear side in a straight line and uninterrupted into the cavity between the upper rim surface and the lower rim of the prosthetic body.

Abstract: A case for receiving a breast prosthesis includes a main body and a cover for closing the main body, with the main body being filled with elastic material such as to include a depression which opens toward the cover. The depression is funnel-shaped in unstressed state i.e. when the case is empty, and essentially conforms to the configuration of a breast prosthesis when the latter is placed in the case.
