    Abstract: A device is provided for the transfer of disabled persons into and out of a bath tub. The device comprises a bath plate, which is pivoted about at least one axis fixed to the bath tub. The bath plate can by means of a power unit, e.g. a hydraulic lifting cylinder, be lowered or lifted in the bath tub. The bath plate is divided into at least two parts, which are pivotally connected to each other.
