Abstract: Grinding apparatus for retaining and grinding workpieces comprises two endless abrasive belts guided to move in a direction opposed to the direction of movement of the workpieces. An angularly adjustable support biasses each abrasive belt to converge towards the direction of movement of the workpieces and the spacing of one or both abrasive belts is adjustable in response to the workpiece size. A disc having apertures therearound and rotatable so that workpieces in the apertures pass between the endless belts to grind the exposed ends of the workpieces.
