Abstract: A multi-way valve for a motor vehicle, having a housing, in which a lower and upper chamber are disposed one above the other along an axis of rotation and are separated from each other by a separating wall. A lower valve body is disposed in the lower chamber for rotation about the axis of rotation. An upper valve body is disposed in the upper chamber for rotation about the axis of rotation. A drive shaft drives the lower and upper valve bodies. The drive shaft is torque-transmittingly connected to one of the two valve bodies and said valve body is torque-transmittingly connected to the other of the two valve bodies. A checking device checks for a correct alignment, and, in the event of an incorrect relative alignment of the two valve bodies in the peripheral direction, a reaction to the incorrect alignment can be automatically triggered.

  • Publication number: 20240051099
Abstract: A method for producing a screw connection having a screw that is set in rotational motion with a screwdriving head of a screwdriving tool. The screwdriving head has a motor drive for creating the rotational motion of a screw receptacle of the screwdriving head. The screw is driven into at least one mating part of the screw connection in a rapid speed. A torque is detected with which the screw is driven. The rapid speed with a higher rotational speed is changed to a creep speed with a lower rotational speed at a changeover time. The changeover time is determined as a function of the detected torque during screwdriving at rapid speed. The screw is further driven at the creep speed until a head contact time when a head of the screw makes contact on the mating part.

  • Patent number: 11860299
Abstract: A method for measuring an elevation angle and/or azimuth angle with an antenna array. Identical transmitted signals that are formed of successive linear-frequency-modulated ramps are transmitted through the transmitting antennas of the antenna array using time division multiplexing, wherein the time division multiplexing is achieved through alternating attenuation of the signals transmitted by the transmitting antennas. Echoes of the transmitted signals are received by the receiving antennas and are down-converted to a baseband and sampled. The down-converted and sampled echoes are transformed by an FFT into a 2D image domain. Phase differences are determined from the image data, and, in order to compensate for a systematic error present because of the lack of separation of the two transmitted signals, an error-compensated elevation angle and/or an error-compensated azimuth angle is determined by means of a compensation.

Abstract: An inductive sensor, in particular a length sensor or an angle sensor, including an oscillator for generating a sinusoidal excitation signal having a first excitation frequency. A resonant circuit is connected to the oscillator and may be excited by the excitation signal to generate an electromagnetic field. A coupling element is movable relative to the resonant circuit, for changing the field as a function of a length or a rotation angle. A sensor generates an electrical sensor signal as a function of the field, A measuring transducer generates a measuring transducer output signal as a function of the electrical sensor signal, which represents the length or the rotation angle, and a checking filter checks the sinusoidal form of the excitation signal.

  • Publication number: 20230421275
Abstract: A method and system to detect a change in a communications channel system. An ultra-wideband transmitted signal is transmitted and a received signal is received. At least one channel impulse response of a communications channel is determined. The determined channel impulse responses are adapted to a known channel impulse response of the communications channel to produce a respective adapted channel impulse response in such a manner that a correlation coefficient resulting from the determined channel impulse response and the known channel impulse response increases. The adapted channel impulse responses are filtered in a time direction via a filter unit to obtain a specific filter signal of the filtered, adapted channel impulse responses of the communications channel. The change in the communications channel system is detected at least on the basis of the specific filter signal of the at least one communications channel.

  • Patent number: 11855526
Abstract: An improved method for zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of a voltage-fed half-bridge using a variable dead band is provided. The duration of the dead band is determined dynamically and is precisely long enough to ensure the absence of shoot-through events while also minimizing or eliminating switching losses and reverse conduction losses. The method generally includes: (a) calculating the equivalent capacitance as seen by the current source charging the midpoint of the half-bridge; (b) calculating the ZVS charge requirement based on the link voltage and the equivalent capacitance; (c) calculating the charge delivered by the current source over time during a dead band vector, equating the result to the ZVS charge requirement, and solving for the ZVS time requirement at each commutation point over the switching cycle; and (d) updating the dead bands for each commutation of each half-bridge in the switched-mode power converter.
