Abstract: An adapter, for adapting an accessory fitting for various size pockets at the margin of protective helmets, has two tapering end walls and front and rear side walls, extending from opposite ends of the end walls, overlapping each other about midway thereof. The front wall is provided with an opening for receiving a projection of the fitting, which normally presses against the inner side of an outer wall of the pocket. The front wall is, adajcent to the opening, provided with a ridge, locally increasing the wall thickness.
Abstract: A protective helmet is provided with two externally located pockets for receiving fittings adapted to carry accessories. An elongate, resilient arm at each fitting extends towards the front of the helmet, and forms one component in a pivot joint. The face shield is provided with two mounting tabs, to be attached to the elongate arms. Each pivot joint comprises a stud insertable in a bore, the mounting being facilitated by flexing the resilient arms outwards, and the tab is retained into engagement with the associated arm by a wart at the tab abutting against the shell of the helmet. At least one of the tabs is provided with a transversely running ledge, and the end of the arm is defined by two side edges arranged at right angles to each other. In an inactive position the ledge rests against one of said edges, which in mounted position runs substantially horizontally.
Abstract: A sliding block for adjustably mounting e.g. an ear cup at a protective helmet or a head clamp having a U-shaped carrier includes a base member and a channel-shaped cover. The base member includes a prismatic head and a shaft projecting therefrom, and a passage extends through the head and the shaft. Grooves are provided at two mutually opposite sides at the head for receiving the shanks of the carrier. In mounted position the cover will enclose the head and lock the shanks in the grooves, however permitting a sliding movement of the block along the carrier. The cover has an internal projection snapping into the mouth of the passage at the head, and the opposite mouth of the passage is provided with tongues for engaging a stud on the ear cup.
