Abstract: A hand held tool for the tensioning and severing of cable ties, including reciprocating means for tensioning the cable tie tail, locking means to prevent further tensioning upon the attainment of a preselected tension level in the tie tail, and severing means to sever the tie tail from the cable tie head. The tool includes a tension adjustment system and an independent calibration mechanism.
Abstract: A one-piece lashing support spacer tie for securing two elongate articles or bundles in a parallel, spaced apart relationship is provided with a strap flexibly coupled to a head. The head is provided with a plurality of strap slots and passages through which to receive the strap. One of the strap passages mechanically engages the strap to prevent movement of the strap in at least one direction when in use, such as with a pawl physically engaging one or more serrations or teeth provided on the strap. The other strap slot may mechanically engage the strap in a similar manner, or the other slot may be provided with structure to establish one or more slidable, frictional engagements with the strap when it is inserted therethrough.

Abstract: A label assembly comprised of a carrier strip and a plurality of labels. The carrier strip comprises at least a first backing layer and a layer of adhesive material located over said first backing layer. A second backing layer may be located over said adhesive layer. Predetermined areas are removed from the second backing area to expose the adhesive layer. Cover tabs overlay portions of the exposed adhesive layer with the labels being removably adhered to the carrier strip on the remaining exposed adhesive layer. The labels may be provided with frangible regions for partitioning the wire label. The frangible regions include both severed portions and points of attachment.

Abstract: Provided are embodiments of systems and methods related to labeling, and more particular to labeling that may be guided by regulatory requirements. A system comprises an electronic device having a user interface capable of displaying a WYSIWYG image of a label and providing access to regulatory information related to the displayed label. The system may further determine compliance with regulatory guidelines by a user-edited label. The electronic device may be, or be in communication with, a label printer to initiate printing of a displayed label. A method includes the steps of accessing a WYSIWYG image of a label and accessing regulatory information related to such label using a handheld electronic device. The method may further include the steps of verifying compliance of a label with regulatory guidelines or requirements and initiating printing of such label, which may be adhesive.

Abstract: An apparatus according to the present invention provides a bundle tie having a strap and a tie head coupled to the strap. The tie head is adapted to engage a free end of the strap, thereby forming a loop, which may be formed or placed about one or a bundle of elongate articles such as conduit, wires, cables, ropes, and pipes, for example. The tie head is provided with a head dampener which serves to cushion what otherwise may be damaging force placed upon the one or more elongate articles by the tie head. The dampener may also serve to limit movement of the one or more elongate articles through the loop formed by the tie.
