    Abstract: A telecommunication signal detector consists of a light emitting diode attached to a standard connector plug which maybe temporarily connected to the telecommunications equipment to be tested. The light emitting diode illuminates to indicate the presence of a signal. In this manner, the telecommunications equipment maybe tested for signal presence by a small and inexpensive device without interruption of operation.
