  • Patent number: 11254341
Abstract: A tactical transport cart manually navigable over both topographic and hydrographic terrains has a frame, a payload support on the frame, a hard point of attachment or connection on the frame or the payload support, a pair of wheels or other terrain-engaging transport propulsion members attached to the frame, a handle structure attached to the frame, at least one motor connected in driving relation to the transport propulsion members, a battery for providing motive power to the motor, and a control device connected between the battery and the motor for controlling supply of motive power to the motor. The frame, transport propulsion members and handle structure are cooperatively dimensioned and configured for movement of the cart over ground surfaces of topographic terrains and for partially and fully submerged movement over water-covered surfaces of hydrographic terrains.

  • Patent number: 10654503
Abstract: A tactical transport cart manually navigable by a single human operator over both topographic and hydrographic terrains has a frame, a payload-supporting area on the frame, a pair of wheels or other terrain-engaging transport propulsion members attached to the frame, a handle structure attached to the frame, at least one motor connected in driving relation to the transport propulsion members, a battery for providing motive power to the motor, and a control device connected between the battery and the motor for controlling supply of motive power to the motor, with a switch device mounted on the handle structure for selective actuation and deactuation of the motor. The frame, transport propulsion members and handle structure are cooperatively dimensioned and configured for movement of the cart over ground surfaces of topographic terrains and for partially and fully submerged movement over water-covered surfaces of hydrographic terrains.

  • Patent number: 9016741
Abstract: A system for lifting a vehicle via multiple slings comprises a vehicle not engineered with structural facility to withstand lifting forces, including a frame which unmodified will deform in response to vertically imposed lifting forces, frame reinforcing elements affixed to the frame at selected locations which are subject to lifting deformation, at least two lifting members at spaced-apart forward frame locations, at least two lifting members at spaced-apart rearward frame locations, and a plurality of elongate slings extending respectively between each lifting member and a common lifting vertex. Each lifting member has an enlarged lower base portion rigidly affixed to the frame and an upper lifting portion. The frame reinforcing elements resist deformation of the frame in response to vertically imposed lifting forces. The enlarged base portions of the lifting members apply forces over a correspondingly enlarged area of the frame and the reinforcing elements without deforming the frame.

  • Patent number: 8714592
Abstract: A system for securing a vehicle during transport comprises in combination a vehicle having a frame with at least one deformation zone, multiple tie-downs affixed to the frame at spaced-apart locations, a supporting surface with multiple anchor points at spaced-apart locations, and multiple ties extending between each tie-down and a respective anchor point. Each front and rear side of the frame has at least two tie-downs, and each left and right side of the frame has at least one tie-down. At least two anchor points are located on the supporting surface outwardly from each side of the vehicle. Each tie extends between one tie-down and a respective anchor point at a corresponding side of the vehicle. The ties are selectively arranged in relation to one another to retain the vehicle substantially against movement on the supporting surface but without deforming the deformation zone of the vehicle frame.
