  • Patent number: 10539052
Abstract: A filter cartridge includes a filter element (forming a fluid channel with a first longitudinal axis) with a front side to which a front end cap is sealingly attached, a conduit (with rear and front ends) attached to the front end cap, and a through hole (in the front end cap) that provides a fluid communication between the channel and the conduit, to enable oil flow from the channel via the rear end of the conduit through the conduit to its front end. Pressure drop for a given oil flow rate is reduced if the conduit has a straight end section (defining a second longitudinal axis) in the vicinity of its front end. The second longitudinal axis intersects the first longitudinal axis at a single point to define a non-zero angle ? between the axes.

  • Patent number: 9821322
Abstract: A centrifugal separator for separating non-gaseous particles from a gas flow having a separator housing enclosing a rotor with a raw gas inlet, a clean gas outlet, and a particle outlet. A circumferential wall encloses the rotor. A raw gas flow is guided axially into the rotor. A clean gas flow is guided out of the rotor and then between the rotor and the circumferential wall to the clean gas outlet. The rotor comprises particle separation elements so that particles separated from the gas flow are centrifuged onto the circumferential wall. The circumferential wall particles are guided to the particle outlet via at least one particle guide trough running diagonal to the rotor axial direction on the interior of the circumferential wall. A radius of each trough as well as the distance between the rotor and the circumferential wall decreases in the direction of the clean gas flow.

  • Patent number: 9731232
Abstract: A liquid filter having a housing and a hollow insert. The housing has a dirty liquid feed, a clean liquid outlet and a drainage channel, and is closed by a detachable cover. In the channel, a valve is arranged, having a valve body axially displaceable between a closed and an open position. The cover on the housing presses the valve body into the closed position. When the cover is removed from the housing, the valve body is carried to its open position and then is detachable from the cover or insert and is retainable in its open position by a spring holding element. The holding element automatically expands into the opening position by spring force and engages a spring element restraint holding the valve body in its open position. A force contracts the spring element, displacing the valve body in the closing direction, releasing engagement with the spring restraint.

  • Patent number: 9700819
Abstract: A liquid filter having a housing with a removable screw lid and an interchangeable filter unit, the housing having a discharge channel, wherein a closure valve which when installed is fixed to the housing, is axially adjustable between a closed position when the filter unit is installed and the lid is closed, and an open position when the lid is detached and the filter unit is removed, and wherein releasable coupling elements are provided between the lid or filter unit and the valve. The coupling elements engage to transmit torque and tensile forces, by rotation in the loosening direction of the lid, for as long as a seal of the valve which exerts a braking moment on the valve is located in the sealing seat. The coupling elements disengage when the seal has departed from the sealing seat and the valve is thereby freely rotatable about its longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 9644508
Abstract: A liquid filter having a housing with a removable cover and an exchangeable cylindrical insert enclosed by two end disks. The filter has a bypass valve and the upper end disk has a central valve seat interacting with a valve body. The housing has a central discharge duct, with a closure pin fixed in the duct which is axially adjustable between closed and open positions. The filter has a valve body carrier connected, with limited axial displaceability, to the pin. The carrier, on its free end, has the bypass valve body, and onto which the insert end disk is mountable. The carrier is preloaded with a force, acting in the closing direction of the valve via a housing spring. During mounting of the insert onto the carrier, a force acting in the closing direction of the closure pin can be exerted directly on the pin by the insert.

  • Patent number: 9555350
Abstract: A bypass valve having an adjustable flow resistance for a device through which a fluid medium flows. The valve includes a seat and a body which is biased closed, and which is movable in the opening direction by a fluid medium pressure difference between the inflow and the outflow side of the valve when the pressure difference exceeds a threshold. A bypass flow path connects the inflow side to the outflow side through the seat. The bypass valve includes a screen disposed in the bypass flow path. The valve body has two different open positions that depend on the fluid medium pressure difference. The entire cross-section of the bypass flow path is covered by the screen in a first valve body open position with a lower pressure difference, and a screen-free bypass flow path cross-section is exposed in a second valve body open position with a greater pressure difference.

  • Patent number: 9393506
Abstract: A fluid filter comprising a housing, a releasable cover and a replaceable filter having a filter body and two end plates. The filter is placed on a housing standpipe which has on its free side, facing the cover, an axially displaceable endpiece. The endpiece is preloaded in the expulsion direction and in that position is blocked by a locking system against insertion which prevents the cover from connecting with the housing. An unlocking device guided by the filter unlocks the locking system and allows insertion of the endpiece. The locking system is formed by locking tabs which are radially movable, and each have a locking face facing in the axial direction. The tabs are preloaded in the locking direction and each lock the endpiece in its expelled position against axial insertion relative to the standpipe. The tabs can be radially moved into their unlocking position by the unlocking device.

  • Patent number: 9254456
Abstract: A liquid filter with a replaceable filter insert and a housing having a raw liquid inlet, a central clean liquid outlet, and an eccentric liquid discharge channel. A standpipe extends above the liquid outlet and receives the insert. The insert has an eccentric closing pin. A first positioning arrangement is arranged on the clean liquid outlet and a lower end region of the standpipe so that, when the standpipe is plugged into the clean liquid outlet, the standpipe is guided into a particular position relative to the filter housing. A second positioning arrangement is arranged on the standpipe and the insert so that, when the insert is plugged onto the standpipe, it is guided into a particular position relative to the standpipe. The positioning arrangements are matched to one another so that the closing pin on the insert enters into engagement with the discharge channel in the filter housing.

  • Patent number: 9044698
Abstract: A fluid filter with a housing, a releasable cover, and a replaceable filter having a filter body and two end discs. The filter is plugged onto a housing pipe and a locking ring is guided on the pipe, preloaded in a push-out direction. The locking ring is locked in a pushed-out position by a locking device. An unlocking device guided by the filter unlocks the locking device when the filter is pushed onto the pipe and enables the locking ring and the filter to be pushed in. When the filter is fitted into the housing, a seal on the end disc or locking ring interacts with a housing sealing surface to separate an untreated filter side from a clean side. When the locking ring is in the pushed-out position and the filter bears against the locking ring, the seal is held away from the sealing surface of the housing.
