Patents Assigned to Henkel Corp.
  • Patent number: 6225389
Abstract: A substantially water-free, water-washable, energy-curable composition includes an epoxy oligomer and/or urethane oligomer having at least two ethylenically unsaturated moieties, at least one alkoxylated polyol monomer having at least two ethylenically unsaturated moieties and capable of being copolymerized with the oligomer, and a sugar surfactant capable of rendering the uncured composition dispersible in water. Optionally, the composition can contain a photoinitiator. The composition is self-dispersible in water and is especially suitable for use as a coating material for a printing screen.

  • Patent number: 6087320
Abstract: A stable, pumpable, flowable and pourable surfactant concentrate, and a method of preparation thereof, said concentrate consisting essentially of (a) at least one anionic or amphoteric surfactant, (b) at least one alkylpolyglycoside surfactant, (c) a viscosity-adjusting agent selected from the group consisting of inorganic and organic electrolytes and (d) water. The concentrate is economically shippable and easily handleable by the formulator for dilution with water, without gelation difficulties, for a variety of end-use applications with adjuvants usually associated with the desired end-use.

  • Patent number: 5993561
Abstract: A process for removing dried paint residues from a difficultly accessible surface is provided. The surface is contacted with a slurry of particulate solids such as sodium hydrogen carbonate in a first liquid such as N-methyl pyrrolidone which is a solvent or swellant for the paint residues, followed by a different liquid such as isopropyl alcohol in which the first liquid is soluble (and which may also optionally contain particulate solids).

  • Patent number: 5567205
Abstract: Wet leather treating compositions and methods of wet treating leather hides employing alkylpolyglycosides for enhancing the penetration and absorption of the leather treatment formulations in an environmentally safe manner. The compositions are substantially free of volatile organic compounds.

  • Patent number: 4692169
Abstract: Carbonaceous slurries are provided in which the carbonaceous slurry stabilizer is selected from the group of(1) the alkyl ether of a polygalactomannan alone, or in combination with xanthan gum or(2) the hydroxyalkyl ether of a polygalactomannan in combination with xanthan gum, or(3) a mixture of said alkyl ether, said hydroxyalkyl ether and said xanthan gum.

  • Patent number: 4683262
Abstract: Polyamide resins useful as binders in flexographic/gravure inks are provided which are essentially free of polyeric fat acids. These polyamide resins exhibit improved water solubility, yet still retain the other many desirable properties of polyamide resins based on polymeric fat acids. The resins are acid terminated having acid values greater than 30 and are prepared from medium chain (12-26 carbons) dicarboxylic acids such as the C.sub.21 acid, 2-n-hexyl-5-(7-carboxyl-n-heptyl)-cyclohex-3-ene carboxylic acid, and aliphatic diamines having from 2-12 carbon atoms.
