  • Patent number: 6212804
Abstract: A novel decorative bird sculpture has a main body portion with a neck and head extending therefrom. An upper and a lower beak portion extends from the head, the lower beak portion being pivotably connected to the head. A conduit runs from an electrically operated pump and reservoir arrangement and discharges into a proximal portion of the beak thereby causing the beak to open by downward pivoting of the lower beak portion and discharging water back into the reservoir. In another aspect of the invention the head may be pivotably mounted on the neck in such a way as to also pivot downwardly as water fills the beak.
