Abstract: A fire-resistant multipurpose protective coating is provided by means of a two-layer coating in which the first layer is a heat-resistant oxidized graphite layer and the second layer is a hydrophobic highly-dispersed-hydrophobic-powder layer containing a silicone liquid. The coating is effective in protecting various substances from fire, strong thermal fluxes, corrosion, acids, bases, electrolytes, other corrosive liquids, and microorganisms.
