Abstract: An apparatus for molding shaped bodies from foamable plastics such as foamable polyurethane resin material comprises a two-piece mold 20, 21 fastened to two clamping plates 17, 18 of a mold holder 11, all of which can revolve around parallel axes 34, 35, 36. The upper plate 18 can move toward the fixed lower plate 17 and back again. The plates are locked and urged together during the molding process by pairs of hydraulic cylinders 28, 29 and 30, 31 mounted on opposite sides of the mold halves 20, 21.

Abstract: A slip plate located at the discharge end of an endless band transport device is provided with apertures on both sides at the end remote from the transport device and a stop located at that edge between the apertures. Alternately operating clamping devices movable at right angles to the direction of movement of the textile pieces of the slip plate convey the textile pieces by clamping at the apertures to stacking tables to the right and left of the slip plate.

Abstract: Radial projections are formed at opposed ends of a double walled hollow cylinder which form a vapor condensation chamber such that the radially outer wall is heated by means of vapors condensing thereon. Heating elements are mounted at the annular compartments and a steel wool packing is carried within each compartment and extends in a continuous annular manner throughout each compartment to distribute vaporizable liquid by the steel wool packing for effective vaporization as a result of energization of the heating elements.

Abstract: A pair of spaced, parallel guide posts 18, 19 are mounted on and perpendicular to a lower platen 12 which supports a first mold half 20. A traversing member 33 is slidably mounted on the guide posts, and an upper platen 13 supporting a second mold half 21 is hinged to the traversing member for pivotal movement about an axle 14 laterally offset from the lower platen. A double acting operating cylinder 15 is hingedly mounted to the lower platen near the guide posts and to the upper platen near the hinged axle 14, and controls both the movement of the upper platen toward and away from the lower platen in a parallel orientation, and the pivotal movement of the upper platen after the traversing member has reached its upper limit of travel.

Abstract: A clip for retaining shirts or similar articles of clothing in a folded position about an insert is disclosed, wherein the clip has a general "U" shape with two arms connected by a yoke portion. The inner sides of the arms closest together are denticulated to grip material inserted therebetween. The ends of the arms are bent outwardly so as to extend in an outward direction as far as the outermost faces of the remaining portion of the arms.

Abstract: A device is disclosed for pressing articles of clothing, more particularly for pressing the body portions of shirts and work uniforms, wherein an inflatable, molded buck is mounted on a support, and the assembly is movable into a position between a pair of heated pressing plates. Movable supporting and spreading elements are attached to the support and located within the inflatable buck, the supporting and spreading elements being movable to ensure that the inflatable buck fully supports the article to be pressed in the area of the shoulders and side portions of the article. After the movable supporting and spreading elements are adjusted, the buck is inflated so as to ensure that all portions of the article to be pressed are, in fact, pressed by the heated pressing plates.
