Patents Assigned to Herborner Pumpenfabrik J.H. Hoffmann GmbH & Co., KG
  • Patent number: 9447793
Abstract: The invention relates to a centrifugal pump (1) that has a suction-side inlet (3) and at least one pressure-side outlet (4), wherein a rotatably mounted impeller (5) for pumping a pump medium from the inlet (3) to the outlet (4) and an impeller seat (10) are arranged in the pump housing (2). In order to achieve a high degree of sealing and a long service life, the impeller seat (10) is formed in a ring-shaped impeller protector (8) which is made from a corrosion-resistant material and is received in the pump housing (2), wherein an insertion region (7) of the impeller (5) is radially surrounded by the impeller protector (8). This impeller protector (8) protects the coating against damage to the impeller (5) in the impeller seat (10).

  • Publication number: 20140072463
Abstract: The invention relates to a pump, in particular a centrifugal pump (1), comprising a pump housing (2) with an inlet (3) and an outlet (4), wherein a motor shaft (11), which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to an impeller (12) arranged in the pump housing (2), is rotatable mounted in a rear wall (5) of the pump housing (2) by means of a primary mechanical seal arrangement (14), wherein a dry run protection system is assigned to the primary mechanical seal arrangement (14). In order to avoid downtimes and to keep maintenance costs low, the dry run protection system has a fluid volume (17) that is connected to a side of the primary mechanical seal arrangement (14), which side faces away from the impeller (12).

  • Publication number: 20140072409
Abstract: The invention relates to a pump, in particular a centrifugal pump (1), with a pump housing (2), wherein a motor shaft (5), which is connected to a pump impeller (6) arranged in the pump housing (2), extends through a shaft passage (4) in a rear wall (3) of the pump housing (2) and is mounted in the rear wall (3) by means a mechanical seal arrangement (8). In order to ensure a high accuracy of fit of a seal seat even over a long service life, the seal seat (9) of the mechanical seal arrangement (8) is formed in a ring-shaped protector (10) that is made from a corrosion-resistant material and is fixedly arranged in the shaft passage (4) of the rear wall (3).
