Patent number: 5278382Abstract: A method for the heating and joining together, preferably for welding, of workpieces by use of a generator. Where, during a heating interval the generator supplies high-frequency energy to at least two electrodes disposed on the workpiece and where the energy supply is controlled by a predetermined time-related curve, with respect to a target value. Accordingly, the energy supply is controlled with reference to the target value by monitoring a first parameter, e.g., high-frequency voltage, high-frequency current or generator anode current. Also, during the heating interval at least one further parameter is monitored, and in the event of an inadmissible divergence in the control system of the first parameter, a subsequent control of the energy supply is carried out.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1991Date of Patent: January 11, 1994Assignee: Herfurth GmbHInventors: Uwe W. Patent number: 4978929Abstract: An oscillator circuit for supplying a gas discharge path. A self-oscillating oscillator is controlled by pulses whose width, amplitude, and/or frequency are regulated as necessary to stabilize the oscillator output power, energy, and/or voltage.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1989Date of Patent: December 18, 1990Assignee: Herfurth GmbHInventor: Karl-Heinz Knobbe

Patent number: 4751472Abstract: The invention relates to a high frequency amplifier for coupling a load with a tetrode which is used as the amplifier tube and which is provided with a regulating circuit with a set point adjuster for the anode voltage. The regulating circuit can also be influenced by a control variable as the set point feedforward which is dependent on the tetrode screen grid current and which is used for automatically matching the anode voltage to the operating conditions of the load. For the power dissipation of the screen grid and anode of the tetrode, a regulating circuit can be provided with a limitation of the controlling high frequency power dependent on the screen grid current.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1986Date of Patent: June 14, 1988Assignee: Herfurth GmbHInventors: Karl H. Patent number: 4731535Abstract: The apparatus for checking persons for radioactive contamination comprises two detector panels (1, 2), each of which is provided on one broadside with detectors. The two detector panels (1, 2) extend at an angle to each other and said angle has an apex which defines a vertical axis. Those broadsides of the detector panels which are provided with detectors face the space included by the detector panels. Adjacent detectors of each detector panel are separated from each other by a vertical blank strip, which is so arranged relative to the contour of a reference figure (6) in a top plan view that the signals generated by the detector means which are separated by the blank strip (9, 10) can be processed to compensate the influence of the closest approximation of the reference figure to the detector panel on the generation of said signals. Adjacent detector means on each side of the vertical blank strip may be separated by a horizontal blank strip. The apparatus may be provided with underarm boxes.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 1986Date of Patent: March 15, 1988Assignee: Firma Herfurth GmbHInventors: Uwe W. Rische, Rainer Gerlach

Patent number: 4529911Abstract: For damping undesired high frequency electromagnetic oscillations on HF technology components, such as coaxial lines, waveguides and resonators, as well as for the use in resonant circuits of VHF amplifiers with high HF power electron tubes, an absorber is proposed, which can be stablely coupled in mode-selective manner, while having a negligible influence on undesired low frequency and/or other electromagnetic oscillations, while having a predetermined high-pass characteristic.Absorber elements are used, which comprise a pocket made from a material having a high electrical conductivity with an opening on one longitudinal side and surrounding a ferritic, dielectric or ohmic absorber rod.For amplifying the absorption effect and for the predetermined setting of the absorption direction, a plurality of these absorber elements can be arranged with a predetermined geometry with respect to the component generating, transporting and/or emitting the HF power.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 1982Date of Patent: July 16, 1985Assignee: Herfurth GmbHInventor: Gerald Hutter

Patent number: 4355286Abstract: A resonant circuit arrangement for anode resonant circuits in radio frequency output amplifiers. A transmitter tube is formed with a cylindrical grid electrode and, coaxial therewith, a hollow cylindrical anode member encircling the grid electrode. A first circular metal disk extends perpendicularly from the grid electrode beyond the anode member. A second circular metal disk, with a smaller external diameter than the first, extends perpendicularly from the outer surface of the anode member. A hollow metal cylinder extends from the peripheral edge of the first circular metal disk past the second circular metal disk. A third circular metal disk extends from the hollow metal cylinder parallel with the first and second circular metal disks and on the side of the second disk opposite the first disk. A fourth circular metal disk is positioned between and parallel to the third and fourth disks.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1980Date of Patent: October 19, 1982Assignee: Herfurth GmbHInventors: Karl-Heinz Knobbe, Hellmut Noldge
