Patents Assigned to HERIOT EYECARE PTY, LTD.
  • Publication number: 20230263665
Abstract: A method of integrating or fusing at least a part of a retina and at least one of a retinal pigmented epithelium (RPE) and choroid underlying the retina and the RPE is disclosed. The method comprises photodehydrating at least some proximal fluid separating one or more of the retina, the RPE and the underlying choroid, with photodehydrating laser light to thereby allow direct contact between the retina and at least one or more of the RPE and choroid. The method further comprises drying at least some of the proximal fluid with a gas flowing at a rate of up to 200 ml/min and photocoagulating with photocoagulating laser light to thereby integrate or fuse at least part of the retina with one or both of the RPE and choroid. Also provided are a device and a system for integrating or fusing these tissues.

  • Patent number: 11224538
Abstract: A device for fusing two or more tissues is disclosed. The device comprises a hand held probe comprising a fluid receiving opening, a channel and an outlet in fluid communication whereby fluid passes through the channel and exits the outlet where it is directed to at least one of the two or more tissues and/or a space in-between. A disruptive emitter, in the form of a laser, is comprised on the probe which emits a force sufficient to fuse the two or more tissues. The device finds particular application to treatment of a detached retina by fusing the retina and the retinal pigmented epithelium. A method of fusing two or more tissues including a retina and underlying retinal pigmented epithelium is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10688296
Abstract: A clip device for occluding two fluid lines and forming a fluid connection includes one of the fluid lines, the clip device including: a first clip segment including a fastener for engaging to a first fluid line, a first pinch valve for occluding the first fluid line and a coupling for connecting to the first fluid line; a second clip segment including a second pinch valve for occluding the second fluid line; and a bypass fluid line connectable or connected to the coupling. The second clip segment may also include a fastener for securing to the second fluid line. The first clip segment and/or the second clip segment may include a proximal opening and a distal opening through which the tubing passes. The proximal opening and the distal opening may be disposed on opposing sides of the segment.
