Abstract: A horse's snaffle bit includes two side rings and a shackle arranged between the two side rings. The shackle has at least one joint and two side portions each of which has an end portion. Each joint is provided as an eyelet which interlocks with a clearance at the end portion of each of the two side portions. Each of the two side portions further has an end with an annular bore formed therein which is arranged distant from the joint to receive one of the two side rings therein. Each of the two side portions has a lip region arranged immediately adjacent to the annular bore, a transitional region, and a projection region. The transitional region provides for a continuous and smooth transition from a substantially round cross section of the lip portion to a substantially non-round cross section of the projection region.

Abstract: The invention relates to a stirrup comprising a tread (20) and an arch (22) which is connected thereto, said arch comprising two lateral extensions (24, 26) and on upper eye area (28) in which an eye (29) is provided. Said eye area (28) extends at an angle of 15 to 40 degrees, preferably approximately 25 degrees, to a longitudinal plane (34) which is defined by a longitudinal axis (36) of the tread (20) and which extends at a right angle to said tread (20).

Abstract: A collar for animals includes chain links produced from a sheet-metal blank and by bending the sheet-metal blank about bending lines. The chain links each have a hook portion and a hook-in portion. The hook-in portion includes a window dimensioned such that the hook portion fits through the window. The hook-in portion further has an edge portion located between the window and a rear end of the chain link. The sheet-metal blank includes a first end portion and an opposite second end portion, and the second end portion limits the edge portion.

Abstract: The invention relates to a double-jointed bit for horses, the bit comprising two outer lateral parts that are preferably embodied as rings, and a bit part that is arranged between the outer parts and connected thereto. The bit part has two lateral sections and an olive-shaped central section, the central section being connected to each of the two lateral sections by means of an articulated element. The articulated elements are formed by two articulated boreholes embodied in the central section and respectfully a loop provided in each lateral section. The central section comprises a base part and an additional part, the two articulated boreholes being embodied in the base part. The additional part is located essentially between the two articulated boreholes and forms an outer surface of the central section in the region of the central cross-section between the two articulated boreholes.

Abstract: A choke collar for animals, including a neck part and a pull chain. The neck part is strand-shaped and is composed of a plurality of chain links having two final links and connecting links. The connecting links include final intermediate connecting links adjacent the two final links. Each of the final links is provided with two eyes for engagement with the final connecting links and with an eyelet. The pull chain forms a closed loop and reaches through the eyelets of the two final links. At least one of the two final links is configured as a plate, which has a first end region and a second end region and is provided, in the first end region, with the eyelet and, in the second end region, with the two eyes for engagement. The second end region is located opposite the first end region.

A bore is arranged in the end area of each of the side portions that is remote from the at least one joint and receives with play a respective one of the two side rings. Abstract: The invention relates to a strap-attached spur which is configured substantially U-shaped and has two lateral bars. Two spur strap eyelets are provided for in each free end of each bar and receive a spur strap of the strap attachment. The two spur strap eyelets of either end are not parallel but form an acute angle between each other.

Abstract: A spur comprises a U-shaped heel section and a neck. The heel section shows a basis, at which the neck is fitted to and which heel section shows two lateral legs starting from the basis. Also, the heel section is cut to size out of a sheet metal and is bent in a U-shape. The heel section is also embossed so that the legs have a profile deviating from a rectangular cross-section shape of the blank.

Abstract: A copper alloy for bridle bits and similar items including 81-88%, by weight, of copper, less than 4%, by weight, of silicon, and the remainder zinc including impurities. The alloy is characterized by high strength and readily stimulates the horse to chew on the bit. The lack of nickel in the alloy is also safer for the horses. A method of manufacturing including casting the bridle bit from the copper alloy. A method of using the bridle bit includes casting the bridle bit, placing it into a horse's mouth, stimulating the horse to quick chewing on the bridle bit and controlling the horse's pace and speed due to the stimulation to quick chewing.
