Patent number: 4793030Abstract: A watch strap comprising at least one layer of flexible material in the form of an elongated strip having an end portion adapted to be secured about a bar of a wristwatch, and a reversely bent member of spring metal secured to the inner side of said flexible material. The spring metal member has a bend adapted to encircle a watch bar and two legs which outwardly convex when the strap is in a position secured to a watch bar and is in use. At least one of the legs is convex in two orthogonal directions in that secured position and has a spring snap action, when the legs are pulled apart from each other, whereby the outwardly convex curvature in two orthogonal directions reverses to an outwardly concave curvature in two orthogonal directions to increase the distance between said legs to permit insertion or removal of a watch bar. A second strip of flexible material is secured to the underside of the first strip and to the underside of the outer of the two legs and terminates short of the bend.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1983Date of Patent: December 27, 1988Assignee: Hermann Hirsch Leder- und KunststoffwarenfabrikInventor: Hermann Hirsch

Patent number: 4513896Abstract: A belt or strap consists of face material 1 and lining 2, both of which consist particularly of leather and are interconnected by an elastic layer 3. The longitudinal edges 4, 6 of the face material and/or lining are laterally bent and extend over part of the longitudinal edge 5 of the belt or strap. The material of the elastic layer 3 extends from the underside (in case of leather from the flesh side) into the face material and lining and extends as far as to the outermost portions 7 of the longitudinal edges 5 of the belt or strap.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 1983Date of Patent: April 30, 1985Assignee: Hermann Hirsch Leder- und KunststoffwarenfabrikInventor: Hermann Hirsch

Patent number: 4457460Abstract: A wristwatch strap of leather or the like has a continuous non-porous barrier layer on the surfaces of the strap that contact the wrist of the wearer. The barrier layer consists of metal particles such as aluminum, noble metal or silver, having a particle size of 150 to 500 microns, preferably 200 to 350 microns, embedded in a matrix which consists of a synthetic resin. The barrier layer is effective to prevent the transfer of allergens and irritants from the material of the wristwatch strap, to the skin of the wearer.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 1983Date of Patent: July 3, 1984Assignee: Hermann Hirsch Leder- und KunststoffwarenfabrikInventors: Hermann Hirsch, Reinhart Jarisch

Patent number: 4226487Abstract: Apparatus for the display and dispensing of merchandise with at least one vertically extending carrier supporting the goods. The carrier can be slid out of the apparatus into a position in which it extends most of the way out of the apparatus, this position being determined by a stop, the goods being readily observable in this position. The stop limiting the sliding-out distance of the carrier can be selectively manually displaced from its operative position, whereupon the carrier can be pulled out in its entirety and detached from the apparatus. The goods can be removed from the carrier only after the latter has been detached from the apparatus. Upon re-insertion of the carrier, the stop automatically snaps behind the carrier, so that no special manipulation of the stop is needed at this time.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1978Date of Patent: October 7, 1980Assignee: Hermann Hirsch Leder- und KunststoffwarenfabrikInventor: Hermann Hirsch

Patent number: 3991921Abstract: The strap assembly is adapted to be connected to at least one fixing bar having a width between a predetermined lower limit and a predetermined upper limit. A carrying strap is formed with transverse slot means. A fixing strap has first and second end portions and an intermediate portion and extends through said slot means and is adapted to extend around said fixing bar. Said first and second end portions are adapted to be secured to said carrying strap. Said first end portion has a width equal to said lower limit. Said second end portion has a width equal to said upper limit. Said intermediate portion merges in width into said first and second end portions and gradually increases in width from said first end portion to said second end portion.Type: GrantFiled: September 2, 1975Date of Patent: November 16, 1976Assignee: Hermann Hirsch Leder- und KunststoffwarenfabrikInventor: Hermann Hirsch
