Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a ceramic moulded body, comprising the following steps: a) producing a green body containing ceramic material, binding agents and an organic pore forming agent; b) heating the green body to a temperature higher than the sublimation and/or decomposition temperature of the pore forming agent; c) burning the green body to form a ceramic moulded body. According to the invention, the binding agent comprises polyglycols and fumaric acid.

Abstract: The invention relates to an abrasive having a base body and abrasive particles applied to the surface of the base body, characterized in that the base body has a multicellular structure. The invention further relates to a process for producing this abrasive and to a grinding tool based on this abrasive.
Abstract: A coated abrasive belt with an abrasive grain layer on one side of a flexible substrate. The substrate comprises a longitudinal strength layer (4, 5) and a transverse strength layer (6, 7). The edges of successive coated abrasive belt portions are adhesively bonded directly to one another by the use of a recess formed at least in the transverse strength layer. Adhesive bonding takes places one a connecting face (10) which runs approximately in the longitudinal direction and which reaches at least near to the longitudinal strength layer (4, 5). One of the two portions (2) carries the grain layer (14) on its longitudinal strength layer (4) and the other carries it on its transverse strength layer (7).
Abstract: An improved ceramic corundum abrasive is achieved by addition of tin. Preparation is preferably by the sol-gel process, with further modifying components such as magnesium, lithium, cobalt, yttrium, hafnium, iron, rare earths, gamma-aluminium oxide already being present in the sol.
Abstract: Flexible abrasive means having an underlay, which comprises a knitted fabric, which consists of a base knitted fabric (1) and at least one layer of warp threads (6) and at least one layer, separated from the latter, of weft threads (5) and includes a strengthening size. In each case a plurality of warp threads (6) per needle space (3) are held next to one another by different binding into the pattern in such a way that they run partly under and partly over the cross threads (4) of the base knitted fabric (1). All of the warp threads of a group of warp threads can be separated from one another by cross threads of this base knitted fabric alternating from the upper side to the underside of this warp thread group. A high dimensional stability of the abrasive means in the directions other than the directions of the warp and weft threads is obtained.
