Abstract: The invention relates to an infant feeding assembly comprising a feeding bottle and a sealed cup holding a single serve of infant formula to be mixed with water. The bottle comprises a cup holder, a teat, a mounting ring, a water fill opening and a closure device. The cup holder is adapted to hold the cup, in an opened condition. The teat has a dome shaped base and a spout. The mounting ring releasably mounts the teat onto the cup holder. According to the invention, the water fill opening, through which a mixing cavity of the feeding bottle can be filled with water while the opened cup is held by the cup holder and the teat is mounted on the cup holder, is provided in the cup holder and/or in the mounting ring and/or in the teat. The cup and the teat at least partially define the mixing cavity.

Abstract: The present invention concerns the field of nutritional compositions and concerns a nutritional composition, especially an infant formula containing whey protein/milk protein concentrate solids rich in phospholipids, rich in MFGM for use in the prophylaxis and prevention of infectious morbidity, especially otitis. At the same time the use of antipyretics has diminished.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods for making a baby food purée, such as a sweet potato purée, by employing a recipe management system that uses the steps of cold extraction followed immediately by cold deaeration to produce an all-natural baby food purée. The processes disclosed herein eliminate the need for addition of exogenous enzymes, preservatives or anti-oxidants, while further obviating any requirement for blanching vegetable ingredients. Also contained in the present disclosure are methods and systems for generating purees from one or more starting ingredients.

Abstract: A nutritional composition having a total energy content of 67 kcal/100 ml or lower and including: a protein content which is 1.25 g/100 ml or lower, an energy content from protein of 7.2-8.4% of the total energy content of the nutritional composition, an energy content from fat which is at least 49% or more of the total energy content of the nutritional composition, a medium chain fatty acid content comprising 8 to 10 carbons which is less than 3 wt % of total amount of fatty acids, a sialic acid content of 10-25 mg/100 ml, a cholesterol content of 5-10 mg/100 ml, and a sphingomyelin content of 9-15 mg/100 ml is disclosed.

Abstract: The invention relates to probiotic micro-organisms isolated from faeces of children exclusively fed with breast milk. Said microorganisms are used in the food or pharmaceutical industry, especially for use in infant formula milk, due to their probiotic properties which have beneficial effects on the health of those ingesting them. Said microorganisms consist of Lactobacillus rhamnosus HERO 22A (CNCM I-4036), Lactobacillus paracasei HERO 7 (CNCM I-4034) and Bifidobacterium breve HERO 15B (CNCM I-4035).
